January 18, 201412 yr HelloI have now logged into Angle of Attack and have that bought me training for the 777. I think it is very well done. Many things I did not know about the 777 Sorry, do not understand so much (because of language), but pictures often say more than words. I then look at me just the point again, which I did not understand. How then are your experience with Angle of Attack ?Is that true that the very closely, working with PMDG together ? Wish you all a nice coming weekend !
January 18, 201412 yr A massive let down. The 737 flight work gave us 8 flights including preflight planning with PFPX. With the 777 we got 3 flights, no preflight prep and no consideration of ETOPs. Jordan Forrest
January 18, 201412 yr Author As I read it, it is planned to show a flight with PFPX. Until now there are 3 flights:1 Dubai to Amsterdam2 Paris to San Francisco3 New York to Hong Kong
January 18, 201412 yr Commercial Member It seems Angle of Attack are very very good at starting projects. But never get more than 50% complete, but still take a lot of your money. Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
January 18, 201412 yr Author It seems Angle of Attack are very very good at starting projects. But never get more than 50% complete, but still take a lot of your money. That's right, so I've just bought the 777 and more I do not buy there too. What I do not normally find when I want to watch the videos in HD, I have to again pay 20 dollar. Otherwise, the videos are well done.
March 31, 201412 yr im looking to learn more about this amazing plane, is this training worth it? Reading the 5 posts above yours, I would say not. YouTube would give better results. March 31, 201412 yr All they're really doing is taking all the information from the real Boeing manuals that come with the plane anyway, and organize it all into a user-friendly video/learning interface. Afaik, no one on their team is an actual pilot (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Airline2sim however, has real pilots teaching people how to actually fly these aircraft. For the amount of money AoA charges, I would rather use it towards a real pilot giving one on one training. AJ Pongress
March 31, 201412 yr Commercial Member Afaik, no one on their team is an actual pilot (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Chris is. There are a few episodes of his free stuff broadcast while he's flying a plane (Bonanza, I think). And for what it's worth, being a pilot only means you have a license to fly. it has little to no bearing on actual knowledge of various planes. Granted, I'm more inclined to believe someone with a rating than I would believe someone who doesn't fly the thing, but you'd be surprised at how many people just glide through their initial for the plane and forget a bunch of what's not operationally necessary (not that you can blame them - the brain tends to remember that anyway). That's what I meant, that no one on their team is a type rated pilot for the aircraft training they offer. Some people find value in the training they offer however, and think the prices are worth it. I would rather give money to an actual type rated airline pilot. But that's just me. AJ Pongress
March 31, 201412 yr 767, 747 and MD11 learns you a lot if you are lazy. But the recent 737 and 777 training (although I do not have) seems to be a massive let down by from what I'm reading above. I personally know everything about my favourite aircraft, and I'm capable of doing video training, but, I wouldn't charge for it as I do not have a real license for this plane. Neither do the guys at angle of attack for their training either. Being a GA pilot unfortunately doesn't mean a lot when it comes to advanced operations of the heavies. They do have the free aviator 90 course though, if you're a total newbie give it a shot. (Sorry for going offtopic)
March 31, 201412 yr Angle of Attack is a great resource for learning proper flight procedures and flows in various aircraft. The 737NGX, MD-11 and Aviator Pro products are second to none. I'm certain the 777 training will add many more flights, since the 737NGX training also seemed to move slowly. But they did ultimately put up several flights and are continually adding to the Linework flights. Check out the AOA Aviator90 training, which is free, and you can sample the quality of their training. I've personally gone through all of the videos in Aviator90, Aviator Pro, 737NGX Captains Package, MD-11 and those thus far available for the 777, and I have learned a lot and improved my skills as a virtual pilot. I highly recommend it! Chuck Rogers Intel Core i7-7700k 4.2 GHz, Nvidia GTX 1080Ti (11 Gb), 32 Gb Ram, Three paralleled 1 Gb Samsung Evo SSDs.
April 1, 201412 yr Angle of Attach Training has been a very good value for my money. It is much more enjoyable for me than setting and reading a manual and is also much more relevant. Being able to see the animated illustrations while the narrator explains the procedure or system is a great advantage. I know many people just enjoy getting all of the information right out of the manuals, and I enjoy reading them also, but AoA gives me a valuable added dimension to the learning that I don't find in the manuals. You don't go to college by just reading the books. You need to listen to the lectures, graphic displays and teacher explanations in order to get a full education. This is what AoA is. For me, it completes the education. Everyone surely does not see it that way, because everyone learns differently, but I enjoy it very much and feel that I get a lot out of it. Chris is a instrument pilot and Nick is a commercial airline pilot, who is rated on the 737NG. I believe there are more airline pilots on the AoA team, at least as consultants. Although every carrier does things differently, you can be confident that you are getting some pretty high quality information from Angle of Attack. April 1, 201412 yr I expected much more for the 777 training as well. PFPX and Etops comes in mind like someone above said. There is a nice pdf document on the net that explains much about Etops though on the B777. Best regards, Stefan van Hierden
