VERSION 2.3 of SIMstarter released!

Good morning,

since yesterday version 2.3 of my freeware SIMstarter has been released.

Most important features are:

  • SceneryManager can add or delete Sceneries from scenery.cfg
  • more than one ScenerySet can be assigned to one profile. That gives you the ability to use it like "groups".
  • XML-Manager can add or delete AddOns
  • it shows the position of all saved flights in GoogleEarth

The new version can be downloaded at my website: http://aviation.pero-online.de

Would be nice if you guys donate for my work...

    Very nice program. Thank you.

How can we donate? I can't find a PayPal link on your website. Or what email address should we use? (Don't post it here obviously)

HI Guys,

My apologies if this question is to lame but what does this software do for FSX or Prepar3d and how complicated is it for a newbie to use?

Hi Gizmo05,

SIMstarter should be a very easy tool to configure the simulator. That was one of my ideas to program it.

Newbies can really easy use it.

Just try it out... ;O)

Thank you for the update Pero

How can we donate?

There's a "Donate" button in the upper right corner in the simStarter main screen.

(Maybe you could click it on a daily basis to get used to it's location   ^_^ )

Hah! I guess that it shows how well-trained my eyes are for blocking ads when I'm not looking for them.

I’ve worked “several hours” together with Günter Steiner to release version 2.0 of FSXstarter soon. A lot of feedback and wishes of FSXstarter users have been realized in that new version. I decided to rename “FSXstarter” to “SIMstarter” because the new version will be capable for FSX and PREPAR3D v2.x.

Thank you so much Pero..I posted this in another thread to the person who directed me to this tool..But I see you here so let me re-post this

WOW! Thank you so much for this.. I have been waiting for a payware to get for this functionality/application and this is something I have wanted for years.

I quickly browsed over that you tube video... and its exactly what I want.. particularly the scenery  profile...but this gives us lots more and its professional looking and a freeware! WOW

My only Question is, I want to install this on my non Flight sim laptop (in addition to my Fsim PC.  The reason being.. I travel so much  and I spend so much time at airport and so on, I am thinking I could do all my settings and build my profile from my laptop and then transfer those files over to my FSim Desktop

Do I need to have a Flight Sim P3D V2.4 on my laptop to do this? can I place all of these files (copied from my flight sim desktop) in some folder in my laptop and then direct FSim starter to this folder so I can build the files and profiles I need without the P3D installed on my laptop?

If I need to install P3D on my laptop..can I simply install it in my laptop but not startup the P3D since I do not have a second license.

Hmm..Interesting indeed

 and thank you.

Hi Capt Paro, in that video you say we need one more software to get the Goolge eath working..What is that software?

Edited to add: Ah makerunways.exe!

Only thing is, it searched all the runways and showing thousands of them like I have all all addons for those

How do I select only the ones that I have an item in the scenery.cfg?

Its searching megascnery and picking all the airports in that scenery... or Orbx area and picking all the airports in em..

Hmm...

Hmm...

You could disable all airports that are not needed and create the KML file.

  • 1 year later...

Considering the new changes and directories that are required for Prepar3D V3x, will your Simstarter take those new requirements into account?

i have held off investing time in Simstarter because of these changes.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Chas

i haven’t launched my Sim directly in a long time now,

all is done through SimStarter NG with exactly what i want to include in my flight profile, i love it!

i can close my Sim and as soon as it closes; open it again with a completely different profile in complexity and designation,

something that takes forever to do manually; is done once extremely quickly through single interface than saved as a profile from there on,

with every imaginable configuration combination and tweaks available, (some i didn’t even know existed!)

SmStarter NG is a MUST HAVE in any simmers flight bag!
