Not sure what the OP used but I think that's the secret of the Zoom key as recommended by the developers of MSE. For spot view I use around a 40 zoom level for wingview and spot views. Looks much more realistic. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! Set the LOD radius in your FSX.cfg to 9.5 - this pushes out the radius of higher detail texture loading. The lack of autogen in photo scenery like this means you can push the LOD radius right out and you won't suffer performance or OOM problems. Zoom can also help. I always fly with a zoom of 0.6 in the VC, and 0.8 on external views. Nick
February 28, 201412 yr Yeah i thought it might have been that, thank you. Zooming doesn't help that much but since i fly mostly airliners into high density areas and 'heavy' airports, i had the LOD set back to 5.0 and that was the main reason why photoreal scenery looked blurry so close. Setting it back to 6.0 improved a bit and i think i can handle 6.5 even with the T7. Cheers!
