March 1, 201412 yr Does anyone know if there is any truth to the rumor that Milviz is working on an Piaggio Avanti? I loved the FSD Avanti back in my FS9 days, and wish there was a quality one for FSX... :unsure2: Tom
March 1, 201412 yr I believe it's true...it's what they call "the Italian job". Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
March 1, 201412 yr They said they are working on one but its probably a couple of months away, at least until the King Air 350 and possibly the MU-2 are released. A shame really, I'd buy the Avanti right now if it were available................... Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)

March 1, 201412 yr The Avanti's "P 180 " designation is a bit too much like Volvo's P1800, one of the ugliest cars ever made. March 1, 201412 yr Author That's awesome news! :Applause: Truly, it is my all-time favorite aircraft, and its good to know that you're really working on one. I'll wait patiently..... :Cuppa: Tom
March 1, 201412 yr Talk about a noisy turboprop, the P180 is it! On several occasions I have been outside and heard a really loud prop, looked up and it was a P180. They are also really, really fast when cruising, as fast as Cessna 525, and they will outrun King Airs while burning less Jet A than a King Air. March 1, 201412 yr Yup, my house is on the final approach to KHPN, the P180 is crazy loud. I can hear is coming in from a long way away. Very distinctive high pitch sound. David Graham Google, Network+, Cisco CSE, Cisco Unity Support Specialist, A+, CCNA
March 1, 201412 yr Commercial Member We will get the sound. There's one that flies in and out of YUL all the time... Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.

March 2, 201412 yr Ugly ? The definition of ugly. Of course you picked the least "unflattering" profile shot. I recall that in the day, Volkswagen ran an ad campaign titled "beauty is only skin deep". Volvo could not come up with an ad theme to make the P1800 successful. Just way too much of a challenge. Now comes the P180. It looks like a sophisticated paper airplane from the 1970's. (40 lb. paper and Elmers glue). March 2, 201412 yr I guess I'm the only one who thinks the Avanti is sexy while the King Air looks like a 60's reject....... Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
