April 24, 201412 yr Author I'm not following this. Isn't there already a FSX exe file in the P3D folder? Nope, unless you used EMT before. April 24, 201412 yr I have the RealAir Turbine/Piston Duke and Legacy all installed in P3Dv2.2 no problem using EMT. For me the big setback is not being able to install the Reality XP GNS 530....I simply cant stand the stock GPS and outdated navdata of P3D! I thought the reality xp navdate was outdated as well (only less so than stock) and no possibility to update? -Roland
April 24, 201412 yr I just wanted to mention, I installed the Lancair into P3Dv2 with no issues to report thus far. Seems a little more taxing than in FSX but overall working nicely. April 25, 201412 yr Hi everyone I have installed the Duke B60 v2 into P3d v2.2 and what I have found is that now all of my aircraft have the distinctive 'shake' of the flight deck which I find a bit annoying .. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way of correcting this issue? I would imagine if I uninstall the Duke everything will go back to normal but I'd like to try and keep it installed if possible Paul

Have you changed any graphics settings in the sim? According to your type of processor, HT available and being used not, etc..., have you used the AffinityMask setting in prepar3d.cfg? In my case I did have that "shaking" on outside views, specially with the Majestic Q-400, and since my processor is a i5 2500 ( quad core with no HT ) I set ut at 15, and since then haven't had any shaking experiences :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
April 25, 201412 yr Hi Jcomm No ..... all the cockpits were nice and steady .. It is since I have installed the Duke v2 I take it you understand what I mean ...... The Duke has this characteristic rattling around of the cockpit from the vibrations of the engines ...... This is now happening in all of my aircraft I'm just wondering if the Duke has added something to the aircraft config files maybe?? It's all very odd
April 25, 201412 yr Author Strange Paul, because I have them all: Duke v2, intalled after A2A C172, Aerosoft DR400 and Twotter, Carenado B1900d, then Dukev2, then Q400, with no such symptoms ? Hope you sort it out :-/ Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
April 26, 201412 yr @jcomm, Do you have the turbine Duke installed? Do you have any problems with the engine sounds? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

April 27, 201412 yr Just so everyone knows where we stand: We have been waiting for a stable and reasonably lasting P3d version so we don't make efforts to adjust everything then find things have changed again. We've never got into any "spat" about P3d in this forum. Unfortunately our custom sounds require a third party gauge and that will involve negotiations with said third party. We do not want to convert to P3d unless we are completely satisfied with our own work. We never, ever pledged P3d support and if we do so it will be when we are happy with our finished work and we won't be rushed. It is not a question of "not being bothered" as one poster on this thread rudely stated! The current Turbine Duke and original Piston Duke should work perfectly well with the migration tool because they do not have the custom sounds that the Legacy and V2 Piston Duke have. The V2 Turbine Duke is in the pipeline and we will release initially for FSX then await feedback and then think about P3d. But as I said, we have to wait for a third party gauge so we have to be patient like everyone else! In the meantime, FSX customers still number a great many, and our priority is to support them because they purchased products for it and not P3d. When we do eventually move to P3d we will offer the same support and you can be sure we will announce that when we are ready. April 27, 201412 yr Do you mean that you'll definitely add support for Prepar3D 2.x when the platform gets to a stable state and when you're done with those third-party negotiations? If it's definite that Prepar3D 2.x will get support in the future then I can happily wait.
April 27, 201412 yr We have been waiting for a stable and reasonably lasting P3d version so we don't make efforts to adjust everything then find things have changed again. That sounds like the only smart policy to adopt. P3D is in such a state of substantial change it really does make sense to wait for the dust to clear. That being said, from the looks of it now it appears P3D is an absolute keeper and will be the sim to support for 3PDs going forward.
