So today I wanted to fly the AAL 1317 KMIA -> TJSJ.  There was some unstable air there, so I thought it would be interesting.  I have KMIA 2.0 from LatinVFR, and the new TJSJ from the same.  Not real happy with either, but they seem to be a process in work with good customer support, so we will see...

I only had a rather average AAL 738 in the "new" colors, so I picked up the 737 Megapack from  the AVSIM Library by Sky Level Textures.  WOW.  I couldn't stop looking at this bird all the way to San Jaun.

I went to Flight Aware and picked up the route: SKIPS1 SKIPS BR53V RAJAY A555 ZQA A555 GTK A555 HARDE A555 IDAHO RTE6 SJU.  Dropped the SJO and added the BEANO3.08 STAR because it was going to be dark and wanted that ILS there as a safety...  PFPX and TOPCAT gave me a FL370 cruise alt, but in the FMC, the fuel savings was 8% by stepping to FL410, so we maxed out at FL410.

Departed RWY 12, arrived at TJSJ 08.

As I said before, didn't care for the LatinVFR experience, I need to go back and make sure that every upgrade is installed.  Another thing this trip highlighted is just how much I hate REX TD coral reefs.  VFR may be OK, but at FL300, the Caribbean looks like a aquamarine checkerboard.

But the textures on this aircraft.  OMG, you have to experience them.

Here we go:

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

JCA Charters is operating a flight for a lovely family from Orange County. It's a huge wedding, with all the family members on one plane. The flight operated first from SNA to DCA for the mother to tell her late father (currently buried at Arlington) about the big day! The pre-flight is now beginning for a service from DCA to NAS, for the wedding service scheduled for tomorrow, an odd day for a wedding I suppose.

The flight has been given the honorary number 50, symbolizing the 50 states that our service members defend every day.

Regards, Jeremy Chesney
