June 26, 201411 yr Schiphol has 6 runways ( 2x 6 if you count both ends )with lots of taxiways. No other airport has that. Only that lowers the framerate considerably. It doesn't matter which brand of Schiphol you use. You will need a powerfull pc for it. I have better framerates in London, with UK2000 EGLL, EGKK, EGSS and EGLC all together. Number of runways and taxiways is similar to KDFW or KATL. There is no reason why the framerates should be this bad. Aerosoft used the same argument. EHAM is not this strange and unique airport like nothing else.

Runways, taxiways , taxi signs an their lighting are a load on the framerate. In that way Schiphol airport is unique. And having multiple airports near one city is not comparable. In scenery it comes down to the amound and LOD of the objects within a certain radius. Being near Heathrow should mean all detail of the other airports near London is at a minimum.Otherwise your Fs would be a slideshow. Btw : Schiphol is part of the photoscenery NL2000 with many custom built objects. Together that cost fps To compare better you should have a photoscenery of the UK installed with Treescapes too and UK objects. Altogether it doesn't matter as there is being developed new payware Schiphol to be published by AS. You then can try all 3of them and pick the one that is best for you. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
June 26, 201411 yr I am happy with the NL2000 EHAM,i have now more Fps as with the Aerosoft EHAM. I have about from 22 to 30 Fps with 70 to 80 airplanes on the gates. BTW EHAM is not finish t after the summer they going do some more, there coming other gates and more. Jan

I only downloaded the EHAM and libraries, not the entire UK2000 Netherlands scenery. If you have tips for me to get better fps, like removing some building objects, or a light texture pack, I'd appreciate it. I get 10fps in the default Cessna.
June 27, 201411 yr The only tips are to set the autogen and scenery complexity less detailed , the amount of AI traffic and car traffic less and perhaps water to 1x low... As the Netherlands have lots of canals and lakes this causes a framerate drop. As I have fps enough for a smooth fs being at Schiphol . I developed my own Schiphol Extra area : I placed hunderds of farmhouses, trees , residential houses and the 2 fastfood restaurants on top of the photo scenery around Schiphol. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
June 27, 201411 yr 6 runways isn't some amazing never-been-seen before megaport. The FSDT KDFW performs well enough. It has 7 runways. Perhaps it's the amount of surrounding photoreal scenery maybe? (BTW I love NL2000, still one of my favourite addons, and the fact that it is free makes it probably my #1 favourite. Flying to Rotterdam, Eindhoven, Groningen and Maastricht airports is an absolute joy using NL2000! Hopefully they can figure out some techniques to improve performance. And moving jetbridges would be fun too (like how Orbx did the jetways for YMML/YBBN... or even just modified default type ones) Of course being able to favourably compare NL2000 and Orbx & FSDT just goes to show how awesome this freeware entire country of high-quality scenery addon is in comparison with these payware single-airport addons are. June 27, 201411 yr I've had a go with it too and just installed EHEH and EHAM and the Library of course, but I also got a HUGE! drop in FPS. From 80 FPS back to 40! Weird thing is that with another aircraft that normaly takes up another 10FPS from the aircraft I start up with, my FPS took another dive of 25 FPS. I turned off the airports and library in the scenery library, I still got back up to only 60FPS, so with just installer and those 2 airports on my computer and no scenery acitve, I already have a drop of 20FPS. Never had this before with NL2000, could it be the new installer, maybe? Whatever the deal is, I'm uninstalling the whole thing. Cheers! Maarten
June 27, 201411 yr Performance on my system is comparable to other mega airports. Not as good as Taxi2Gate LTBA but absolutely acceptable, especially considering that it is freeware and EHAM is large even for a mega airport! I very much doubt that people who only get 10 fps at EHAM, have reasonable fps at other mega airports... [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE
June 27, 201411 yr I turned off ground shadows and aircraft shadows and get better framerates. 20-25fps. I guess most scenery is not optimized for those options.
June 27, 201411 yr Why is everyone focused on the Fps, whether you're 40 or 100 Fps Fps have you do not see any difference on your screen.I have the frame rate limit a while put to 0 but then jumps off and on constant from 80 to 20.Now it stands at 30 and everything goes smoothly. Edit : AAL125 was posting when i was writing this message,i am not so fast. And he found a few Fps. Jan
June 28, 201411 yr Mines pretty bad 9 fps. pmdg 737 I've relocated to, taxi to gate LZIB and Im getting 23 FPS at the gate which is about the same frames I get at all FSDT airports. ZORAN

My framerats drop again when in the cockpit of a PMDG aircraft. This was 20fps in a default cessna. The performance is worse than the Aerosoft version, which is disappointing.
June 29, 201411 yr Hi, Just following up on this after some experimentation. My problem seems to be VAS related. I started monitoring this and it takes a dive when the view changes to external from the VC in the T7. I managed to get reasonable frame rates having disabled the 3D objects library and installing the FSX Scenery Config Editor tool.http://fs-sceditor.sourceforge.net/index.html I don't have the entire Netherlands scenery installed so the 3D objects library did not seem to matter as much. The airport still looks fantastic and the guys at NL2000 did a tremendous job pulling this airport together. :clapping: Regardless of frame rates, taxiing appeared much smoother and I was able to depart and land at EHAM with the T7 without VAS running too low and losing the textures. In summary, with a little bit of tweaking I now have good performance at EHAM.
