NL2000 Amsterdam Schiphol Released (EHAM)

Featured Replies

trust me i have better frames on the aerosoft version than the nl2000 version.

I have both.

The framerate on my pc is about the same.

The NL2000 version has been made for FSX only according the latest techniques, while the AS version was made for Fs9 and then modified for FSX.

That is why the AS version is not correct on its placing.

Up to know I have enjoyed the AS version.

I was beta tester for Cornel.

The NL2000 version has more detail and a 7 cm/pizel photoscenery.

That icw all detail will cost fps.

For high end pc's this is absolutely flyable with 25+ fps.

Already I wrote about the HD ground textures and perhaps they will make 30-50cm/p version too.

its not worth it. the whole terminal looks horrbible

I found it to be very much worth it. To each his/her own of course.

Frames are OK on my rig, not stellar. Pretty much what I'd expect from detailed scenery with a fair amount of AI active.

How about some closer up ground screens, there are none on the website. Are the textures sharper (HD) rather then the lower ones used in the Aerosoft product?

Btw...the Aerosoft Schipol scenery is the worst airport I bought in FSX, a complete disappointment in frame-rates and resolution. Generally, Aerosoft products are good to excellent!

Just an opinion...Darryl

Airport looks fine and no major FPS hit so far with default but wont be able to test it with the 777 until later

For those wondering like I, no it does work in p3dV2 but does work in V1 according to the forums there.

Apparently I need english lessons. No it does not work in P3D V2. The dev says he is working on it though. Edit : (but that was a Feb post in their forums) not sure now.

How are things in Switzerland? Shouldve stayed to get my German lessons.

Does anyone know where the jetways are? I have looked in the libraries and can't find them. I'd like to remove the non-functional ones and replace them with fully functioning jetways.

Does anyone know if, and when, NL2000 will fix them so they are functional?

The scenery is great once I got everything installed by that horrible installer.

The PDF (which is for the 057 installer, and not the 058 installer, says that EHTW is installed. I don't have it.

No worries, thanks for the clarification :)

Greeting from sunny Switzerland

Are they working on framerate fixes? Or a smaller texture set? Something to fix the horrible fps. Even worse than Aerosoft EHAM. I didn't think that was possible. It's disappointing I was hoping to fly some of the last KLM MD-11 routes before they are all retired.

Schiphol has 6 runways ( 2x 6 if you count both ends )with lots of taxiways. No other airport has that.

Only that lowers the framerate considerably.

It doesn't matter which brand of Schiphol you use.

You will need a powerfull pc for it.

"They" have a website, and a forum, you know ...

I'm sure "they" would appreciate hearing your feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Hi,

I installed the NL2000 EHAM recently but don't have the Aerosoft version.

I find the frame rates reasonable 18-19 FPS, but the 2 times I have tried to fly in so far, the scenery turns to black once I have landed to the point where OOM results.

I am flying the PMDG T7 with Rex4 (1024 DXT textures), 30% AI (UT2), Water set to Low and Autogen set to Normal and still scenery issues with this airport. LOD set to 4.5 (suggestions from the NL2000 forum)

This is the first time that my PC has ever given me OOM errors in the past 5 years since I built it for FSX.

I believe my main problem is I am running a GTX 560Ti card with 1Mb RAM. With this level of airport complexity (and it does look good!), it's just not enough graphics power to render all the scenery and objects completely.

So I would agree, for this version, you'll need a high performing PC setup including a decent amount of onboard graphics memory to get the most of out of it.

Regards
