I finally got around to taking a shot of my cat.

:Drooling:

That...that's...it's...

I have no words for that.

...it's just so...

I want it!

Silver, plus some of my favorite colors, on one of my favorite aircraft?  Yes please.  Sad they went out of business with a livery like that.

Ryan's been keeping this relatively up-to-date:

That's all I can really point to that's in any way official.

I hear ya Kyle.  I was lucky to have flown on the Flying Tigers 747-100's a few times before they were taken over by FedEx.  After the takeover I saw frequent 747-200F's on Air Force bases still in FT bare metal, but with a tiny FedEx logo on the upper deck instead.  They just weren't quite the same after that and now it's all just a distant memory :(

Is the above, very nice Flying Tiger livery part of the T7 package? If no, is it possible

to obtain (download) it from the "artist" (or other....)?

Thank you,

Ken

Give it 1 or 2 more days Ken and you will see it here in the AVSIM download library.  Part of my Check Airman duties are to dry the paint (what little there is)  B)

Well, crash the damn thing if you want, I don't care, I've got 9 lives anyway...

Twitters not that bad, I'm a science fan so I use it to follow New Scientist, Scientific American' LHC, CERN, NASA etc.

The fact about the internet is...using any of it is a complete waste of time for the most part...just like these forums, but we love it.  So are we in the same class as facebook and twitter users?

Back on topic (kind of) I was quite surprised to not find any White Airlines paints for the T7.  I found a few for the new Condor and Thomas Cook "Heart" livery.  I think it looks great.

Hi Olli, thanks for the link.

I created an account there but I still can not post pics.

The problem is AVSIM though as I have a picture uploaded to FSfiles already.

When I reply to you like here, and click on the "image" symbol" (green), a new window (box) opens.

It sais URL.

I can past my BBcode URL in there but when I press "ok" nothing happens.

In fact the whole page just hangs and becomes unusable.

The only way to get out of that freeze is by closing internet explorer (which erases my reply).

No they are pictures, just not stored on the AVSIM server but rather a 3rd party server such as photobucket.

Ah ok.

Thanks for that :-)

I am starting to grasp the idea here.....not quite there yet though (see post abv).

It is just crazy how complicated things are these days (not at all intuitive)!

Even this reply took me at least 15minutes to create!!

First tried my iPad

Could not post picture.

Then tried my laptop.

Could not post picture.

Replied to Olli from laptop by using the "quote" function.

quote did not work :-( All I had made was a normal post. (not a quote).

Replied to 77West from laptop by using the "quote" function.

Again no quote, just a simple post :-(

Opened AVSIM on iPad.

Quoted Olli from iPad.

yes, that worked :-)

edited the quote to Olli so it reflected my original reply to Olli.

Ok, reply to Olli is now OK.

Quoted 77West from iPad.

yes, that worked as well.

edited the quote to 77West so it reflects my original reply to him.

ok, both look good now (see abv).

Why does the quote function not work on my laptop???

Time wasted on modern tech 15 - 20 minutes!!

And that is just the quote part!

If I add the time I have spent trying to upload a picture today then we are talking about an hour or so!!

Frustrating.....more so even than soccer penalty kicks!

Hi Olli, thanks for the link.

I created an account there but I still can not post pics.

(...)

Rob, I simply started uploading there, without ever registering or logging in.

Then I choose the BBcode provided over there, and copy&paste it into my post here.

Maybe the issues you're facing are interfering with this procedure?

What happened to AVSIM

I know what you mean. I use IE for most posting but some features break so switch to Chrome at that point.

We have a saying in IT, ALT + Grr....

You may or may not get that.

Rob, sorry if you know this, but if you are using IE, then before you can paste anything in, you have to hit the Avsim BBCode Mode button top left in the "Reply to This Topic" box..

You should then be able to paste in your Photobucket, or code from whatever service you are using.

Don't hit the image box, just paste in your code.

Sadly I am half asleep, it should read CTRL + ALT + Grr

I can not. I can not paste anything in the reply field :-(

Unbelievable.

No I did not know that.

thx for the idea Martin, but it did not help either.

When I click that symbole you are talking about on my laptop then I get a little window (titel is Special BBCode) and a dropdown list with like 30 things to choose from :-(

No idea what I need from that list.

Acronym?

Background colour?

....

....

....

Twitter?

Website preview?

The f...ing iPad is even worse ofcourse.

the "More Reply Options" button on iPad opens the same standard reply field with none of the options to write in bold, add pics, etc :-( :-(

Driving me up the wall this ######.

Edit:

Hey thats funny....first time I cursed here....did not know that if you type ######....that it gets converted into ###### automatically....haha....funny :-) :-)

How little things can make one smile again :-)
