You know a lot of us have smart phones and tablets with pdf readers. This and maybe some other items  could be put into a QRM. That way unless you want to,  you don't have to go poring through hundreds of pages in the manuals and still operate your aircraft properly and effectively. So from me +1

Am still trying to get my head around all of this. Why do you need to pour through hundreds of pages to understand how to 'taxi' the 777.  That is the part I don't really understand, the doc is only about how to taxi, it's not a quick reference guide or QRH.

All you have to do is read the correct section of the FCTM and absorb the information.  It all seems a bit strange, but I guess some people need to pull out a quick guide mid taxi just in case they forget how it all works :)

I don't understand why this pdf is necessary. The FCTM that comes with the 777 is the actual Boeing FCTM for the actual Boeing 777.

Because, frankly, the Boeing manuals are very dry reading indeed.  Along with Mike Ray, I pity those who need to read them.

This guide is liable to be far far more entertaining.

I'm just pointing out that the majority of what you've mentioned is already covered in the existing manual that comes with the aircraft.

And those manuals, though I love the subject matter, put me to sleep every time, sir.

Having driven it around myself now a fair bit, there is definately a knack to doing it correctly.  Heck, try running FS Captain and you will see what I mean.

I don't get the point of that tutorial neither...I don't want to disrespect tha effort which might be put into it...but I just don't get it

See above, sir.  I for one applaud this initiative.

i like it but i agree with Kyle..all info are in the T7 manuals...good reading too

Yes and no, informative but deadly dry and boring.  I would love Mike Ray to write a Triple7 guide.

To most people the sky is the limit. To those who love aviation, the sky is home.

Those who are saying it;s a waste of time are obviously jealous of you.

Interested in your PDF than any so called "boeing" manual.

Jealous of what exactly? :) Anyway, I'm looking

forward to this PDF. Interested to see what exactly it could teach me.

Yes.  Super jealous of the duplication of effort, and having to wait on information I can already pull from the manuals.

Like I said earlier: if Mr.Mahesh wants to  go out of his way to duplicate the effort of what's already in the manual, then by all means.  If he goes further and somehow applies tips and tricks to the sim, then great.  That, I'd be willing to read.  The rest of it?  Nope.

I might revise my statement later, but I feel that this is simply emblematic of today's generation:

Manuals are worthless.  Let me expend more effort to find the same information on the internet!

Not to be rude, but how is that different from your work?  You certainly do not come up with something new (that doesn't already exist in manuals) in your videos.

My work doesn't require reading. It's one thing to create more reading to replace reading. It's quite another to create a visual guide to visualize the reading. Additionally, my work usually supplements the reading instead of directly re-stating it (unless it's the video version of the printed tutorial).

But, it's based on the books/manuals you have read, and you just digested it for other users can not or do not want to read it directly from manual. I'm OK with that, and I do not understand why you judge other's work before you read it completely.

What's your point?  My work plays to the issue that I raised earlier by addressing it directly:

People don't want to read.  They search the internet.  They get video so they don't have to read.

While I see that as somewhat negative (the aversion to the manuals part, at least), it's a positive for me because it creates a "need" for video-based learning, which I provide.

I'm simply pointing out that re-stating what's in the manuals (in the same printed format) is wasted effort.  I did note that if he provided extra information it would be worth it.  I also noted that I might revise my statement later (which one could assume would be when he releases his information).

Have a quick question for H Mahesh, what hardware are you using for flight controls? From what I gather you are using a laptop?

Also after reading your sig - what experience do you have on the real aircraft & PMDG T7 that would make you feel that we should email or PM you?

Cheers mate! :)
