DSR - WOW - Must See

Featured Replies

If you're talking about enabling Aero right click on the desktop and click personalize then windows Aero theme. If you're talking about DSR then actually read the rest of the thread, especially first page or two.

I think it's a little harder to enable Aero in Win 8.1, I think the Aero theme needs to be imported. I haven't yet but don't believe I have an issue, or don't understand what the issue is....

Here's a script that launches FSX and makes sure Aero is enabled:

@echo off
start "" "d:\fsx\FSX.exe"
net stop uxsms
net start uxsms

Just open Notepad, copy and paste the above text and save it as a file with .bat extension instead of the default .txt extension.
"FSX.bat" for example.
Replace the "d:\fsx\fsx.exe" with a path that is relevant for your installation.
Save it anywhere you like, to the desktop for example.

You need Aero (as per LM) for any version of P3D.x   FSX, actually disables it for system time, and then re enables it as you drop to Desktop.

@echo off
start "" "d:\fsx\FSX.exe"
net stop uxsms

Peter, why would you force Aero on with FSX?  What is the advantage?

It eliminated screen tearing while in windowed mode on my system. YMMV, of course.

Glad you like the settings guys, so far these have been the most stable for me.

George, did you leave the Prepar3d.exe specific section of the NCP as default? No changes there? What about NI, did you do anything there?
