Any previews on the 747-400v2.0 yet?

Guys,

Really - this is not the place to discuss competitor products. If you want to do that, take it out to the general FS forums here. As someone stated above, we (as we've always done) will let our product speak for itself when it comes out. We've been through this before...

Any slagging of other developers or their products will be removed as well - there is no need for this.

The "other" 747 in development seems to include an FS9 variant.

PMDG's 747v2 will not have an FS9 variant.

I suspect the old PMDG 747 is getting quite long in the tooth now, and a new product will probably be great for those FS9 users that, after 9 years, still haven't moved on :P

Gents-

Read Ryan's post above- then move along....

We have gotten quite used to have more than one design in the marketspace- and it hasn't inhibited, slowed, or altered our methodology in the least.

YOU all are the standard bearers for PMDG products- and the reason why they are so well recognized for their quality.  We prefer it that way- and the trash talking, baiting, slagging, etc is not welcome here.

If you would like to compare coke vs. pepsi, etc- please do so elsewhere.

I really had my hopes up for at least the Woodpigeon or pogo stick livery list by now instead.  I think those of us who have been waiting are the most patient audience of them all :P

Check out my repaints and downloads, all right here on AVSIM

I'll tell you why not, because people are already saying in this forum and elsewhere, that they are going to buy PMDG's 747 over the competition's. Surely the aim is to sell as many copies of your product as possible? Why limit your market by going head to head with a company that has a reputation for being among the best in the game?

Yeah and I wonder how many people who said that they weren't going to buy the 777 eventually did...

The 744 is a legend, and once the new pictures are released and the feature list is made available you will see how many of those people suddenly change their minds.   I am really looking forward to the 744 v2 and the -8i/F.

Regards

I thought the angle of the front windows looked a bit wrong, then I noticed the tail livery - CS 747. It's not the PMDG version after all.
