Do you check out your landing?

Featured Replies

Hi all. Just interested in the general opinion here.Do you look at you landing in Instant Replay or recorded Flight Video after completed flight? Or maybe the flight recorder?I do this maybe every third flight or so, especially if the scenery is cool or there

If it is a good landing I will look at the instant replay. If it's a bad landing I rather forget about it :-lol

I do the same, and usually watch the replays twice...once from spot view, and once from the wingview. Gotta love that about FS!Mike Tucson, AZ"You must be the change you wish to see in the world"--Mahatma Gandhi

I watch everyone, always from the spot view. I try to get a sense of how upset my passengers are with me.Jim

Just the dicey ones where something should be bent. The good ones are expected (usually)

Bang on MikeOnce from spot view and once from a wing view - its always nice to watch in the spot view from the first flap extension through to taxiing off the active. ALT>O>R>210>Enter should do the trick- shame it doesn`t remember the spot view settings and zooms when you reload an a/c.Hehe. I now have a 6 day old baby boy (my first) so have had a good week and 1/2 away from FS. I have busy couple of hours ahead getting the hang of the new Orion, and the Naples Scenery, oh and the New Sf260 (when I can get SWREG to work). The pace of quality add-ons these days, they just don`t let up! CheersLungs

How do you record your landings? Is there some kind of program or is there a flight recorder in FS?Thanks,Jeff

Funny, thought I was the only one who did this! :-)I almost always check out my landing in Instant Replay in Spot view. I position the viewpoint to be a three-quarters view off the port wing, angled slightly above the mid-line of the aircraft. That way, I can see how smoothly I set the aircraft down and how close to the centerline of the runway I was, plus I can see goodies such as spoilers and reversers deploying.Great question, by the way!Cheers!Joel

I use instant replay rarely, for some of my greaser landing and for most of my not-so greaser landings ;-) Gary

I almost always watch my landings in spot view, from the tower or ActiveCamera's approach view, often several times with different replay durations.Andreas

Yep, I always check out my landings too. My favourite view is Active Camera's aptroach view and i also like to check it out from the PAX view as well!! It's one of the best things about FS.
