Not good enough Rick - P3D luvs a a strong gpu - my titan proves that - cant imagine anything less on the gpu side of things

On a totally different subject, does anyone know if AivlaSoft are updating their renowned EFB to P3D?

Has anyone done a long haul with it yet?  Something is eating more VAS... typically if I am flying over the ocean my VAS stays even, but it keeps going up in the T7.  Anyone else experience this?

Aivlasoft EFB does work with P3D.  You just need to change the settings in Data Provider to P3D.  I use it every flight and works great.

 

I just bought a 970 and it does reduce the workload on your GPU but do not expect better FPS with it.  They will stay about the same or maybe a 1 to 2 increase.

That price is very fair for the moment. I was hoping to wait till my birthday to get this in September, but I'd be stupid to pass up on the $89.99 for the base 777 package. From what I see on the sight, the 777-300 expansion is fixed at $29.99 unlike the base 200.

 

So the cheapest course for the simmer on a budget would be to get the 777-200 before March 7th, and get the 300 expansion later if you want it.

Does anyone suggest that one should get the expansion package or the base is good enough.  I have a month to get this bird with the introductory price by PMDG, and I intend to take advantage of it.

Rick although I now use GTX970 I used to run P3Dv2 with a GTX560Ti Hawk and was getting 30fps (locked) everywhere.  My computer is running 4770K at stock so less powerful than yours.

Graphics usage with the Hawk was approaching or on 100%,  the 970 rather less than that. B)

 

Lots of opinions in these forums though often not based on fact.  I suggest you look elsewhere to solve your problems, the 560Ti is not the cause.

 

 

I will say this, if there are many addons running with a GTX 560Ti in P3D V2 and very high settings, you will have a very hard time getting a good frame rate. Every PC is different. I have multiple 780's and they sit at 100% usage. With a 4790K at 4.8 GHz. And running at 1440p. I sit @ a solid 40fps. 

 

So while it may have worked well for you, it isn't for him.  

 

Take a look at my sig.  I have license #'s to go along with it. 

 

 

Almost on every P3D video i have seen there is no AI traffic.

 

You need to watch more of mine ... but you don't need UT2 for AI ... AI exists in the product just like it does in FSX.

 

I use UT2, but be aware it use some VAS and take take out some performance (considerable if you go above about 40% AI traffic).

My Hawk was coping with all shadows turned on, 10% road traffic, 20% boats and 40% Orbx Ai traffic, water Ultra, most sliders just below max.  Using Orbx Australia and most of their Australian airports using A2A Cessna 172 with EzDok, FSGRW, TrackIr.

 

Frames dropped when at YBBN and YMML and CS777 ... as to be expected.  P3D on Seagate SSHD.  

 

I don't have any licences mate ... just telling the truth of my experiences.  Oh, forgot, using 1024 textures rather than 2048 or 4096.
