Who's flying where this Easter weekend?

Featured Replies

I'm definitely getting down and dirty with the 737ng this weekend in between playing squash and mountain biking.  I think I might spend the time around mediterranean destinations.

Cross country australia, RNP AR approaches wherever available!

The guy who designed the procedures in AUS used to frequent this forum. I often wonder if he still does.

Thanks to GE/Naverus! The guy who designed the AUS RNP AR procedures! Boeing and Jeppesen for making RNP AR available via Navigraph and for making pseudo-waypoints to make them work with the NGX, and of course, PMDG for the NGX, still unmatched in all ways... And thanks for getting the rights to the flight manuals, they really enhance the flying experience!

Enjoy! I'll get to the Mediterranean someday. I've been flying around Argentina and the U.S. lately. Does anyone know of any FSX payware for Argentina?

Going to fly the PMDG 777 Aerologic, with newly purchased FS2Crew, on a cargo run from EDDP Leipzig/Halle, Germany (Aerosoft) to OPLA Lahore, Pakistan.

This is the only one I know of for Argentina:-   http://secure.simmarket.com/blueprint-saez-v2-upgrade-fsx.phtml

It's from 2011 and being a Blueprint airport, is pretty basic, but it's cheap!

Despite there being quite a few airports available for Brazil, Argentina (and even 2 for Uruguay), Argentina seems rather neglected where payware is concerned.

mountain biking.

Good man! I'm more of a fan of riding the skinnier-tired brethren, but there's something to be said for the big tire group that doesn't get sidelined by hitting a pebble.

Flying-wise? Tonight, I'll probably try to get out of VHHX to somewhere else. Dubai? Maybe. Dunno. And then it's off to Copenhagen, since I haven't flown through there since I was at Virginia Tech. From there, I'll probably blast around Norway in a 73 because I haven't done that since Tech, either (used to be in SVA). Good approaches and terrain up there.

Yeah... I tried downloading some freeware but AV warned me that they contain viruses etc. Argentina is definitely neglected.

I will be attempting a flight to Dusseldorf. It's has some complex STARS approach that I haven't master yet. I will also put my PFPX to the test (thanks to kyle tutorial).

Good idea.  Maybe I should get the Orbx Norway pack.

I had to trade up to kevlar tires last weekend though because I got sidelined by a humble thorn.

awesome

Working on the MHTG Toncontin RW 02 RNAV approach. There's a trick to the carrier deck landing that I haven't mastered yet. UAL Flight 1540 for anyone else interested.

Some flying will definitely include the 747 from various destinations stretching the limits of the old Queen.   Getting ready for the arrival of the V2 lol.

Kind regards

Wow!!! The person who shot this video sure knew what he/she was doing! That was some very impressive flying! Anyone know if it is actually flown as aggressively as it is in the above video, IRL?

I think I'm going to do EGLL-ZSPD in the 77W on my VA. I really enjoy doing longhaul on flightsim these days i never used to before.

Not aggressive but deliberate. This location was featured in a Discovery program "Ten Most Dangerous Airports." Notice MAX braking and he nailed the touchdown zone and used most the runway, this is not a place where you are going to get away with sloppy flying.  B757's go into there too!

I'm on call for an Atlas Air 777F flight from Guam to Wake Island.  There's also a Nordstar 737-800 flight on the books from Kiev to Frankfurt-Hahn
