Would you like to create your own weather?

Featured Replies

If you think it may be fun to create your own weather in FSX, FSX SE or PrePar 3, check out the REX forum or their website.

I create my own sometimes in ASN, what's the difference?

I leave all that kind of stuff to Mother Nature...and Opus FSI.

None.

In ASN (and other weather engine editors)  you create weather at a station then add a radius. With this product you get to show your artist skills by painting it on a map.

Thanks

So basically you get the same thing just a different way to do it.

Guess this will be another add on I won't need since I rarely create my own weather and use live weather most of the or just load a presaved scenario that I used in the past.

Folks,

It's amazing to see how others here appear to be able to already declare what REX 4 Weather Architect can or cannot do…The problem is it has not been released yet to the public.

REX 4 Weather Architect is not like the other weather engines when it comes to custom weather creation and generation. It is unique in that it provides a simple interface (without having to hand modify metar data) to create detail weather down to the individual cell level. It gives the user full control over placement of weather, creation of structures and intensity of weather. In addition, unlike the others it provides a means to easily share your creations with others.

Not only is the weather customizable, but it fully communicates with REX 4 Texture Direct to inject textures that reflect the type of weather you created.

Here is our first sample video on how to create a basic weather scenario in Weather Architect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtOoYBHuyH8

Other detailed tutorial videos are in the works that demonstrates the program in-depth.

Neat video Reed and good looking UI.

Too much work involved for my taste, especially for something I rarely do, but I have no doubt the REX followers will have no issue purchasing it the day it rolls out.
