July 14, 201510 yr Some examples with reshade on the left side and "default " P3D on the right. The next one is without "reshade" The last one with "reshade" I hope this is the right place to show the screenies.
July 14, 201510 yr Pardon my ignorance, but can you not achieve these "shades" with the likes of Active Sky Next or REX, or is this add-on strictly changing colors, without adding another background process? I must say the reshade shots are very nice. -Jim Engage, research, inform and make your posts count! -Jim Morvay Origin EON-17SLX - Under the hood: Intel Core i7 7700K at 4.2GHz (Base) 4.6GHz (overclock), nVidia GeForce GTX-1080 Pascal w/8gb vram, 32gb (2x16) Crucial 2400mhz RAM, 3840 x 2160 17.3" IPS w/G-SYNC, Samsung 950 EVO 256GB PCIe m.2 SSD (Primary), Samsung 850 EVO 500gb M.2 (Sim Drive), MS Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit
July 14, 201510 yr Scott, very nice. When you say reshade, what do you mean, is this built into Rex? have a look here http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4982574&postcount=123 and here http://forum.avsim.net/topic/459027-reshade-shader-injector-sweetfx-20-and-p3d-v24/

I must say the reshade shots are very nice. -Jim No. Reshade is an ENB/SweetFX style shader software package that installs on top of your FSX/P3D. It has a lot of options to edit colors, contrast, HDR tone ranges, SSAO, AA along with dozens of other FX useful for movie makers such as Depth of Field blurring and the like. It uses very little resources and drastically improves the visuals of the world, even for people using REX. Rex ONLY does skybox textures. It does not recolor the ground or anything else. Reshader post-processes the entire scene. I have two Reshader.fx files I use; one for day and one for night. My night one has cured my system of being way to dark to see anything at night and has made night flying a joy finally. This is all thanks to ReShade's ability to correct gamma and contrast/brightness. For those of you who like the HDR setting in P3D but complain about it making the scene too dark ReShade is your solution for keeping HDR on while correcting some of the darkness issues. One of the best things about it is you can make all this adjustments on the fly just by editing the ReShade.fx file. The second you Save it, the ReShade engine will update the shader FX in the simulator in real time so you can see how it looks without rebooting the sim. It is also FAR easier to use and install than ENB. ReShade uses its own installer and asks you point it at your game you want to ReShade. From there it will do the rest. The only file you should be concerned with afterward is the ReShade.fx file. This can be opened with Notepad and edited while the simulator is running. It is extremely useful and I encourage it's use. I've never had an issue with it since day one. PLEASE, read the manual prior to installing if you choose to try it out. There is no excuse but people rushing in ill informed to cause your sim to fail after install. July 14, 201510 yr Does it work with two or more screens? I have never been able to get SweetFX working due to the second panel. Mark CYYZ
July 14, 201510 yr Does it work with two or more screens? I have never been able to get SweetFX working due to the second panel. Unknown. I have three screens but they are treated as one as they are in surround mode (nVidia GTX 980 on 3 24" ASUS monitors) and it works fine. If you have yours setup to treat each monitor separately I don't know how it will react to that. Check the manual. I am going to assume since it wants to be pointed at your EXE file that whatever monitor your simulator runs on is the one that it will be work on. They are up to v 0.19.2 Beta. This is 0.15 beta. The newer version allows you to change your hot keys because SPACE BAR is a terrible idea.
