Aerofly 2 PC screen shots. A new flightsim

Not everybody needs the entire world. You have P3D, FSX, X-Plane, and (presumably) the upcoming Dovetail flight simulator for that.

Looking at those shots I was so much reminded of ne of the best sims I ever used - Flight Unlimited 2 and 3 !

Hmmm wonder if Peter James joined their team :-)

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

If it ends up being anything like as innovative as the Flight Unlimited series was, then I would be interested. A single regional scenery area in high detail is of far more interest to me than yet another generic and sparsely detailed rendition of the entire globe. I used Flight Unlimited 3 (plus the FU2 San Francisco scenery) exclusively between 2000 and 2008.

To be honest I'm a little sceptical. Version 1 looked promising, but then they abandoned it completely in favor of the mobile version. Now they're back and expect us to pay all over again.

Version 1 is available on Steam. Why shouldn't you have to pay for Version 2 ?

Awesome shots.

Ahaahahahah I love this guy! He's only commenting screenshots with these: "Awesome shots", "nice shots", "Beautiful shots.". Sorry mate I couldn't resist since I'm seeing your same comments for months over and over again. Pretty simple way to gain numbers of posts. I'm not trying to offend you of course, just curious why I can't see you joining a discussion like others? Cheers from a Serbian friend.

Once again, no offense, just curious.  :P

With the limitation to central CA, it would seem better to concentrate on planes that one would fly in that limited area. Better yet, use the time to develop or provide a larger flying area *before* developing intercontinental use aircraft. Most things are very backwards today anyway. When things made more sense like in Flight Unlimited 3 days (1999), a limited area to fly included appropriate aircraft for the product. What are you going to do today in Areofly 2, plot a 3 min flight from KOAK to KSFO or a 14 min flight from KSJC to KSMF in a 747-400? What is the step climb profile if I may ask?

These were way ahead of their time!  Can you imagine what FUIII might have evolved into had EA / Looking Glass stayed the course?

I would expect the "central California" area to be significantly larger than the San Francisco scenery region in Flight Unlimited 2. Nevertheless, what's wrong with being able to fly an airliner on short range trips in a limited area? Some of us aren't too bothered about "step climb profiles", magenta lines, and auto pilots. We just fire up the engines, take off, and explore! Yes, even in an airliner!!

You all realize that "limited areas" in another context, has (and still does) cause near riots?

I'm actually nearly floored when I see more balanced responses.

Thank you. (truly)

I loved flight unlimited 3 even flight unlimited 1 was way ahead of its time compare to anything Microsoft had at the time.

That's Aerofly 1 it's currently available now.

Oh, my bad then. Sorry!

I ment no insult, I ment that as in look how far ahead of FSX and prepar3d aerofly 1 is graphics wise. I can't imagine how far ahead 2 will be. This could be the replacement we've been waiting many years for.

Since this Aerofly 2 is just for Android and iOS its not that big a deal to me.

If this gets to PC...with any support of simulators that have a reduction in realism, eventually we all suffer the consequences, whether one cares about step climbs or not.
