October 6, 201510 yr Actually I did that, and HD Audio Audio drivers installed no matter. Sigh. Disable them through the device manager. I did it that way and didn't have to worry about them running at all. -Jim Engage, research, inform and make your posts count! -Jim Morvay Origin EON-17SLX - Under the hood: Intel Core i7 7700K at 4.2GHz (Base) 4.6GHz (overclock), nVidia GeForce GTX-1080 Pascal w/8gb vram, 32gb (2x16) Crucial 2400mhz RAM, 3840 x 2160 17.3" IPS w/G-SYNC, Samsung 950 EVO 256GB PCIe m.2 SSD (Primary), Samsung 850 EVO 500gb M.2 (Sim Drive), MS Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit

October 7, 201510 yr I tried it out last night, and I'm not sure if I'm perceiving a difference. I'm going to go ahead and keep the HD Audio device disabled anyway because I'm not using it. I suspect that it might because I'm having performance problems due to other issues. I'm looking down. Down at my CPU. Derek RogersPC Specs: Intel i7-4790K 4.6GHz : 16GB RAM : GTX 970 4GB
October 7, 201510 yr Actually I did that, and HD Audio Audio drivers installed no matter. Sigh. Perhaps it's a previous version of HD audio. May I recommend the following procedure when you want to cleanup or install a new graphic driver and related components (NVidia or AMD): - Reboot in "Safe mode", - Run "DriverUninstaller.exe" (google it, it's a must have utility), - Reboot in normal mode (DriverUninstaller will do itself), - Disable firewall (if not the Windows one) & antivirus - Run the NVidia setup.exe and select the whished components - Reboot if proposed Roland MSFS my local airport release: LFOR Chartres-Metropole MSFS Plugins RAAS (registered FSUIPC7 required) MSFS FX for Objects & Landmark in France (Steam and smoke) and Aerial coverage for French nuclear sites
October 8, 201510 yr Moderator Best part is, if you're uncertain whether the driver is used on your rig, or the sound dies on your PC, its seconds to turn it back on again as you're not uninstalling. Try it and report back ! I notice that sounds in P3Dv3 were stopping randomly while the sim was running. Disabling the HD stuff seemed to help, but just as I was typing this report, the darn sounds quit entirely again... ...pressing the Q key twice restarted the sounds, but just after I did that and sat back down in my office, the bloody sounds have quit... again!!!
