October 10, 201510 yr Hi motoadve, Are you able to wait until next week... http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/topic/36384-rex-products-and-prepar3d-v3/ Michel
October 10, 201510 yr Just point the installer to P3D directory. It worked for me for soft clouds and REX essential+ Overdrive. Follow me on : Instagram See my Trailer: A Year Of Flight
October 11, 201510 yr Same here just pointed the installer to my P3D V3 folder and it worked. They still look awesome too.. October 11, 201510 yr Unlike Rex textures program, it installs automatic to prepar 3D v2 Is there a way to install in V3? As the helpful folks have stated just in case to point it to V3 You go into main rex menu and change the file location to the main v3 folder - no deeper Do not load water animations or sun effects you should be good to go Rich Sennett
October 11, 201510 yr Yeah ..why not water animation and sun effects? Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
October 11, 201510 yr Why don't you load water animations or sun effects? Yeah ..why not water animation and sun effects? Tim said do not load them until patch is out - didn't question the Man Rich Sennett
October 11, 201510 yr Is it only me who don´t like the clouds in P3D? In higher levels (350 e.g.) they often look like popcorn. I´m already tried different rex sets (softclouds and rex hd). At least the same sets looks in FSX much better when I´m flying in higher flight levels. Seems not be an individual "problem" as I already have seen it on different pics from different user. Best Regards, Holger Mut

At least the same sets looks in FSX much better when I´m flying in higher flight levels. Seems not be an individual "problem" as I already have seen it on different pics from different user. I too, thought is was only me experiencing this. There seems to be a long, thin layer of small 'popcorn' clouds above the main cloud layer from about FL250-FL400. I've also noticed that if you view the aircraft from the ground using the 'S' cycle key, there are a number of sets of engine contrails which break off to one side, briefly pair back to the engines, then multiply again. Still early dais of v3 release, you would expect a few teething problems.
October 11, 201510 yr Next week there will be updates for REX TD and Soft Clouds: http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/topic/36384-rex-products-and-prepar3d-v3/ Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR
October 11, 201510 yr Still early dais of v3 release, you would expect a few teething problems. but I have to say that I already have this issue with V2. My hope was that it would be better with V3 but unfortuneately it isn´t. You can make things a little bit better in scaling up GetScreenQuadPositions but this has other sideeffects like framedrops. I don´t think that the REX Updates makes things better as it is more a P3D issue. I´m excepting path corrections and other things like this. But we will see. Best Regards, Holger Mut
May 18, 201610 yr Hi, any news about installing REX4 Texture Direct HD (stand alone) and REX Soft Clouds (stand alone) into Prepar3d v3?
May 18, 201610 yr Select P3Dv3 in Texture Direct, then Install your Texture Direct textures Then install the Soft clouds after that, selecting P3D and if needed the path to your P3D root folder when asked You will then have Texture Direct HD Cirrus textures and Soft Clouds as your low level clouds. If the drop down in Soft Clouds does not offer the Prepar3D v3+ option then your Soft Clouds is in need of updating to SP2 hotfix 1, use the update button to get the required updates. Much easier though if you download and install the patch to combine Texture Direct and Soft Clouds into one application.
