January 27, 201610 yr Interesting reading, as the NGIS has apparently parted ways with UNIGINE. http://nexgenflightsim.com/discussions/#/discussion/319/update-1-24-2016 We are all connected..... January 27, 201610 yr Author It also occurs to me that Next Generation Interactive Simulation (NGIS) was (last I read) very much into creating a demo area using UNIGINE tech. This change in direction (for whatever reasons) it seems to me, will have to involve some significant retooling. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... January 28, 201610 yr Some interesting comments on this over at the Flightsim.com forums, where NGIS has a forum. DJ
January 28, 201610 yr Author Also: this thread and its reply and subsequent enlargement are interesting. January 28, 201610 yr Moderator I'm surprise many people bother following them until they have something concrete developed. If they were at least as far ahead as Outerra then I'd keep an eye on them, until then it's just a waste of time for me to bother reading about what they are doing. I read just about everything I see. Insatiable curiosity. Left with nothing else, I will happily read the ingredients list on a box of soap powder! Hmmmmmm... anionic surfactants..... February 20, 201610 yr Moderator NGIS keeps coming up on every flight sim forum I read and generally I've learned to tune it out since such topics quickly derail. What I think would help NGIS is if they actually got their often-touted team of talented developers and industry experts that they have to communicate with the "public" as we're now referred to. There seems to be a large team of forum members/simmers with fancy titles (QA Leader, Managing Director of Development, President, etc) but no actual real experts unfortunately, and people have got wise to it it. I'd love to see a next-gen flight sim, but I'm happy now we have DTG, P3D, XP, AeroFly, DCS, etc..
