February 3, 201610 yr Probably we all shouldn´t be that happy, since it appears that QW has not resolved the FMC malfunction and the Livery Manager issues with P3Dv3, according to the posts at their forum after the new installer release. Let´s wait and see. February 4, 201610 yr Fixed the problem -- Credit goes to someone on Facebook that jscarano found and posted on QW forums. Livery manager is looking for a registry string value called AppPath under the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3, make sure it is there, if not create it. NEXT-The FIX: were you have your P3D.exe file installed, the manager is looking for a file that is not there. It is looking for slimdx.dll , chances are you won't find it on your installation. No worry just go to your note pad put anything in it, I just hit the "/" key and then saved it as slimdx.dll in the same area as your p3d.exe file. WORKS!
February 4, 201610 yr Great. Thanks for sharing. I'll give it a try when I get home. Tested. It works. Thanks a lot for the tip. I was looking for a fix this morning on the qwsim forum but could not find one.
February 4, 201610 yr too bad its junk! Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. Windows 11 Pro loaded on a 4TB Gen5 Crucial T700 SSD, 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, Ryzen 9 7950x3d, AS Rock X670e Taichi Motherboard, Gigabyte Gaming RTX 4090 OC 24GB, 64GB (2x32GB) Viper Venom DDR5-6000MT/s, MSI 32" MAG 321UPX QD-OLED 260hz 4K Gaming Monitor.
February 4, 201610 yr Yes, the livery manager has been fixed by customers. Where is QW on the FMC issues? Matt Bernard20+ Years Commercial/GA A&P/PLST
February 4, 201610 yr Funny enough that people asking for a P3Dv3 release of the QWSIM BAe 146 were always told that there is no resource available for such an update as QWSIM is busy with the 787 etc., yet they release all of the sudden an updated installer for P3Dv3 of the QWSIM 757, notably a plane which did even not have P3Dv1 or P3Dv2 support, while the QWSIM BAe 146 already had at least that. So I really wonder why it was possible to release a P3Dv3 installer for the 757, but for the BAe 146 we continuously receive the same answers: "no time", "not that easy", "other priorities" etc... So, in the end, the release of the 757 for P3Dv3 increases again my hopes that there will be also a BAe 146 P3Dv3 installer some day. After switching from FSX to P3Dv3, this is one of the addons I miss most... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

February 4, 201610 yr Whatever the issues with the 757/146, I certainly hope the slap-dashery with the FMC doesn't find itself being part of the 787 product as well.
February 4, 201610 yr Can anybody enlighten me on the issues with the FMC? I don't see any. I agree...I am unaware of any problems with the 757 FMC. In fact, also must state that the BAe146 is working fine in P3DV3.1 for me, even though there is no 'installer'. Just a little manual manipulation of things. cheers, i7-9700K, MSI Z370, PNY 4070 Super, GTX 750Ti, 32GB GSkill, 43" curved Samsung, 32" BenQ, 11" LED, RealSImGear GTN750, Win10, P3DV5.4/P3DV6 and MSFS, several GoFlight modules, Saitek radio, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Virtual Fly TQ6.

I have tried multiple ways and I still get NO flaps and NO gear, I never checked gauges or lights either! Nick Sciortino
February 4, 201610 yr Here is how I have found to install Coolsky, Majestic, and QualityWings with no issues. Reboot to Safe Mode with internet, load the program, then restart. I have found that by doing it this way you bypass your Malware, AV Programs, and anything else that can disrupt the loading process. CoolSky would load to 99% and hang indefinitely, and that is with my AV and Malware selected off, Majestics Q-400 would always show up with no landing gear. So give it a try!
