QualityWings – 757 P3D v3 Installer Released.

Featured Replies

The FMC is ok for me because I use it undocked on a second monitor. No problems then :)

I downloaded some new sounds as well.

I am happy to put up with using this as the number of long haul aircraft (if you can call it that) on offer for P3D is woeful

+1 I agree

So the installer doesn't correct anything for P3D.  it just allows the install into it.   I moved all my FSX QW757 folders manually and have had no problem prior to this installer.  So I'm not touching the installer.

QW146 has always had a P3D installer for 2.X but the issues arising in v3.1 are a tough one.  My flaps still do not work.  I've tried the many methods on QW forums.  The letting the aircraft sit for 2 min and not touching anything.  The doing the saved flight then loading the saved QW146 flight to no avail.   Its weird cause the flap handle moves a tiny bit and clicks but does not go down to next notch.

Do you install QW146 with Migration tool on or off?

I'm gonna uninstall and reinstall.  make sure all antivirus is off and we'll see how it goes.

Oh and if you are having the font FMC issue it is a Win10 issue.  Win10 font pack is missing Latha which was used by QW in the FMCs in Win7.  Just install Latha and everything will show up again.

My FMC works correctly but like what was said previously you CANNOT load another aircraft first or it will not function.  Not even the default.

Funny enough that people asking for a P3Dv3 release of the QWSIM BAe 146 were always told that there is no resource available for such an update as QWSIM is busy with the 787 etc., yet they release all of the sudden an updated installer for P3Dv3 of the QWSIM 757, notably a plane which did even not have P3Dv1 or P3Dv2 support, while the QWSIM BAe 146 already had at least that.

So I really wonder why it was possible to release a P3Dv3 installer for the 757, but for the BAe 146 we continuously receive the same answers: "no time", "not that easy", "other priorities" etc...

So, in the end, the release of the 757 for P3Dv3 increases again my hopes that there will be also a BAe 146 P3Dv3 installer some day. After switching from FSX to P3Dv3, this is one of the addons I miss most...

+1!

not impressed with qualitywings' support.

For those of you who can't get the QW146 Dispatcher to work with P3Dv3 and who get this message:

!! ASSUMING YOU DO NOT HAVE V2 PARALLEL INSTALLED !!

Go to this location in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

you should have the v2 key present if you installed the (legacy) simconnect clients.

Add a string value and name it AppPath

Double click on it and fill in the value data field with the path to your Prepar3D v3 location.

Et voila... I can play with the payloads. :-)

I've also installed QW146 with Migration tool and fsx installer. Got no problem.

When i need to use dispatcher , just activated the migration tool again and got no problem as well.

Yes, the migration tool does nothing else than the manual edit you see above and the adding of a couple of links to folders on your HDD.

One can safe the bucks for the migration tool and spend them into something else. However if you feel not confident making these edits on your own (and learning a bit about your computer's internals) then it's maybe safer to spend the money ...

Its only the installer. Not debugged for P3D but many have installed in P3D with no problems. So essentially you can install in P3D and use it. If something doesn't function correctly you will have to figure out the solution yourself or by the help of members here ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

Iv today installed both the 146 and the 757 into p3d v3.1 iv hit some hurdles, but all in all its working well thus far.

The above 146 regedit to use livery installer. i'v regedit the 757 and created a dll called slimfx.dll in p3d main for the 757 (Tutorial:

) and I have had to install a font called latha so the 757 FMC works properly.

seems ok so far,  - oh and when you load the 146/RJ just let it sit for a min or so, the flaps seem to work when you let it sit (I read that somewhere on these boards today)

the only thing I need to find a work around for is both planes seem to want to crawl when at idle, its not a deal breaker, a small price to pay to actually fly the aircraft that's been nothing more than a couple of files on a hard drive for a long time!  ( I'm yet to google this, I just want to fly it at the mo.)

Thanks for the p3d livery manager fix, but I'm not having any FMC issue with the 757. What issues are some of you having, cause mine is working fine, and gets updated with the Navigraph data manager as it should.

too bad its junk!

How complex/realistic is this bird?  Is it up to PMDG standards?

I recently installed X-Plane 10 and Beta 11 and installed the FlightFactor B757 v2....you want complex/realistic..hands down. excellent plane to fly and plenty of liveries. Just search on YouTube and you may agree.

I gave up on QW757 a while ago and I am a big 757 fan

Happy Flying!
