Prepar3D v3.2 is out !

Featured Replies

I think with v3.2 I'll finally make the jump from v2.4. Just have to wait until I have a day to myself for the move :fool:

Love the fact that LM keeps improving things, but if I was happy with v2.4 I'm sure I'll LOVE v3.2!!!

A  bunch of us on the "official" forum are still waiting for LM to sort out our Error 9022 licensing issues after upgrading.

I emailed them 24hrs ago and still no response. LM need to sort their "customer care" out. Not acceptable for a customer with a Professional licence.

Is the licensing issue preventing access to download v3.2 update or or validating after install. I've downloaded OK but don't want to be left without a working copy because of this

I'm on a prescription based license, download was good to go, but activation is officially borked.  Sent an email, tapping fingers ...

Licenses that are not prescriptive should be OK, as far as I understand.

I'll save you guys a lot of time stay with 4x - 4x in P3D - FXAA is off with NI still on - I use Steve's setting - still the best on my rig

Daves route is fine for certain aircraft but not for Carenado's

That's pretty subjective - I only use built in AA settings and recently disabled FXAA - clears the gauge clarity right up. There are some jaggies in the scenery but I prefer sharp over smoothed jaggies (blurred)

True, but you and I have been around long enough to know that almost all of these opinions are subjective. Each one of us see every image a bit different and much of it depends on our individual computers, software and setups. All one can really do is give it a try. If it don't tickle your noodles then revert to what you have now. Stressing out over it will never give you higher frame rates or less jaggies.

Thanks David. Honestly, I barely see a difference, perhaps I really need to dig into it myself. What monitor resolution do you use?

You mean 4xMSAA in P3D and 4xSGSAA in NI? Correct?

Well perhaps I'll give a try and install 3.2 later tonight. Just a quick recap of what's been discussed over the install procedures.

From Windows Install/Uninstall Programs Menu...

1. Uninstall Clinet OLD - Install Client NEW

2. Uninstall Content OLD - Install Content NEW

3. Uninstall Scenery OLD - Install Scenery NEW

Correct?

I just did the client portion, waiting for activation.  Later if I get time I'll do the scenery and content in a sandbox to see what they do.  My download didn't go so well (never does ..hrmmnn ... always corrupted files)  so maybe not.  I use Sandboxie as a sandbox, install to a safe place where it doesn't really install.

Richard do you have a link for Steve's settings? Thanks.

Well...looks only the subscription users were affected. Sorry for you, folks - hope it'll be fixed soon

Post screenshot in a minute - its pretty basic but serves me well - even with NI off not seeing any fps benefit anyway at least on my rig
