May 5, 201610 yr 40.50 does not seem to me to be a valid build number. Where did you see this? Officially retired
May 5, 201610 yr He probably means 10.50 beta. If he does, any information that has been released to the wild will be detailed here http://developer.x-plane.com Jason E Row Follow me on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/JasonRowPhotography

May 6, 201610 yr Any hints on when Xplane 10.50 will be released? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
May 6, 201610 yr Moderator Fixed the title ;-) I suspect there will be the first beta within the next 2-3 weeks. It's an exciting release
May 6, 201610 yr Moderator I think it will be out well before the year end. Knowing LR, we will get the first beta soon and then a few weeks later the final build pushed to steam I hope also we see some news about XP11 this year.
May 6, 201610 yr Hi Guys, I am quite new to XPlane, 10.45 is the first version I am using. My question is - how easy is updating to newer versions? Is full install mandatory? Thanks, Lukasz Lukasz Kulasek i7-8700k, RTX 2080 TI, 32 GB RAM, ASUS TUF Z370-PRO Gaming, Oculus Rift CV1
May 6, 201610 yr Moderator Witam :-) It's very easy, you just run an updater and it downloads the patches it needs and not the entire thing each time. No need to reinstall everything or your addons again.
May 6, 201610 yr And suppose you updated to a beta, but want to go back to the latest non beta. Just run the installer again, untick beta and voila. Nothing like the complete reinstall horror of some other sims. -Roland
May 6, 201610 yr Indeed, managing X-Plane and add-on install and UNINSTALL processes is smooth as silk - and one of the reasons I don't like X-Plane 10 that much - stolles that thrill of the UNINSTALL process with that screen at the end saying - "UNINSTALL Complete - the application was successfully uninstalled and all of your data removed" - I miss that, but well... I can live with that... Joke aside, most of the uninstalls can be as simple as deleting or moving a folder. A good example are the scenery packages ( the scenery_packs.ini file can also be edited for that purpose... ), applications like NOAA and most python-based plugins, Aircraft, and so on... Backing up X-Plane 10 is also piece of cake... Some products make things a bit more difficult, à lá Windows app style, like Gizmo-wrapped add-ons, but I understand that developers have to find some way of securing their investment and controlling piracy... May 6, 201610 yr I love X-plane backup and restore as everything is self contained in the X-plane Folder. No hidden registry entries, none of that DRM - Black Gauges alot of AC makers use. Just copy/move the folder to wherever you decide. Oh god, I hope PMDG won't try and use any of their screwy DRM methods and break the flow of things.
