WX Advantage Weather Radar!

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am using FSX, installation process went well in all aspects but when I load an aircraft and try to load the radar, the radar screen shows for 1 second and then FSX crashes. Any suggestion?

I really hope Rex could do the integration for the radar and pmdg 737/777's  VC, not only an 2D version just now,and then I will buy it.

No need  to as  the pmdg777  and the ngx  already has  a perfectly  working  weather  radar    and  you don't  need  to integrate  any gauge   at all

Only if you have ASN.

Rex really isn't in a position to integrate the gauge into existing VC cockpits made by other developers. To do that, requires access to the original panel model files and artwork.

Integration into a VC can only be done by the original developer of the aircraft. There is also a copyright issue, in that the EULA for many add-on aircraft prohibit 3rd parties from modifying panel graphics of existing products.

The more people to ask aircraft developers to offer integration, the more likely the developers will be to respond.

PMDG is not likely to do so, since they already have their own integrated radar in the 777 and NGX. The disadvantage is that it is limited to ASN.

REX able to offer integration into Milviz planes because REX and Milviz are partners in the creation of this new radar gauge.

REX will be offering a API for developers like PMDG to integrate the WX Advantage into their systems.

Folks, posts referring to or recommending another "weather gauge" are inappropriate for this thread and will be moved. Feel free to start a new thread and not clutter up this one.

Then I would suggest moving the thread to a vendor specific forum.

Understand the argument here, however there is ample opportunity to start ones own thread hawking ones own favorite _______  (fill in the blank)

Don't misunderstand, I agree with not hijacking threads.  It's happened to me and its happened to others.

There is frequently a request to please not do it, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen a threat to remove messages when it's in a non-vendor forum.

Only if you have ASN.

Thank you. Seems the fact that this works with all weather engines and not just ASN seems to be lost on some folk

Forgot  to add  that part,  thought  by now  it  was  a  known fact.   besides  there is  no  where  to integrate  it  in the ngx   and  you could  only  use  it  as  a  pop up,  think most users   would prefer  to have  it  integrated  in  the panels of  their  aircraft.
