'X-Life' Teaser

Hello everyone. Check out the new teaser of DFW for X-Plane 10 & 11. This video showcases how the X-Life plugin by JARDesign works with the scenery to achieve spectacular AI traffic. The integration supports accurate placement of AI aircraft according to their size, a complete taxiway network and also parallel runway operations. The video is shot completely in X-Plane 11's beautiful new rendering engine. Check it out in 1080p:

Amazing video, Omar! I'm personally not interested in X-life, but I appreciated the preview of DFW- it'll definitely be a day 1 purchase for me. Now for every developer's favorite question () : How close do you think it is to completion?

Brian,

Where do you live? I live in Grapevine.

Euless.  Moving just north of Grapvine here in a 11 days.  Straight shot down 114 to DFW!

Carrollton here.  Just by the intersection of Jose and Keller Springs.

SWA flies a few hundred feet over my house all day.  See DFW traffic too just a little higher.  Been to Founder's more than a few times.  Got some good reference photos for my UPS paints.   Too bad I've never seen the Queen there...mostly MD's and A300s.

We need to get together one day guys!

This will be a day one purchase for me as well...outstanding work!  And yeah Brian, Founder's needs to be an integral part of any DFW scenery.

Flying out of KDFW this week to KLAX....on a 787-8!

This year I've been on an AA 787-9, an A320 NEO (Spirit, one of the 1st in the US), and now an AA 787-8...great year for flying new metal for me!

Regards,
Steve Dra

Hi,

the overused term "game changer" may be rectified for x-plane 11 in conjunction with these many great addons now in development.

Unlike the default x-plane ai-traffic, x-life aircrafts have sound. Laminar Research, x-plane is not Silent Service! ;-) (a submarine simulation from microprose at commodore C-64 times)

Incredible work Omar, really wonderful!!!

Kind regards

Tom

Steve,

Just Planes shot a video at DFW in June of 2015. Some of it was shot during tropical storm Bill. If you like watching all different kinds of aircraft landing and taking off, this is a great video.

The scenery is at present 95% complete. I still have to add: animated apron vehicles, static apron vehicles, parked vehicles, volumetric grass and the ability to turn scenery features on or off. I hope for a release in January 2017.

i am so happy to see more payware moving towards x-plane, p3d is good but i moved to x-plane a year ago and i can't get myself to go back.these are great pics and an instant buy.

Omar any updates??

To everyone who's been eagerly awaiting the release of this product: I deeply appreciate your enthusiasm for my work, and I am trying to get the scenery out as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that I'll be able to meet the January 2017 release deadline because X-Plane 11 has still not exited the Beta stage. In order to release my product, I must test it with the final, non-Beta version of X-Plane 11 to ensure that everyone gets a fully complete and bug-free product on Day 1.

Also, Ben Supnik at Laminar Research has advised all developers not to release any 'X-Plane 11 compatible' product while X-Plane 11 is still in Beta because the file formats for add-ons have not yet been finalized. If I release the scenery now, it may not work with the final version of X-Plane 11.

Because of these reasons, I have decided to delay submitting the scenery to Aerosoft until X-Plane 11 goes Final. Until then, I will have more time to work on the scenery and make it even better than it currently is. I hope you all understand my reasons for delaying the product and I thank you for your patience.

I fully understand and appreciate, and look forward to this great payware scenery you have/are creating.

Although it is hard, I would rather patiently wait for a fully compatible piece of artistry.

And, you are an artist of great caliber.

Thank you for the update and best wishes on your creative endeavors.
