Active Sky Cloud Art for FSX & P3D - Released!

Is someone waiting to see what REX is going to offer?

Not waiting but I always end up also with Tim and Co his stuff which I always really like...

As for WX engine up until now nothing comes close to AS ;-)

My personal preferred combo now is AS16 + ASCA and for sky navids_sky_set_2016_v2_0

So I probably have the whole range to chose from great times with so many choices :-)

Looks great!

Do you use a specific cloud texture set?

Mine is set to full dynamics with all on Auto in ASCA.

Nope full dynamics only sky is from navid...

Can someone tell me why it keeps injecting its sky colours? Installed Navid's set, have "Sky Colors" off as enabled content, saved and applied. Running Full Dynamics, bottom says "Sky = None". But as I start the game, I can see it turns from Navid's beautiful, clear blue to this injected purple. Do I need to do something special to stop it?

This is just me guessing but have you tried to delete your shader cache files?

Just tried that. Installed Navid's textures again, just to be sure, cleared the shader cache and loaded up my flight. Still looking at those ghastly injected colours :(

That's odd because I just tried the same thing myself out of curiosity since I've seen more people with the same problem but I can't reproduce it. When I have sky colors unchecked in the ASCA options screen no matter what themes I install the sky stays the same.

Did you also make sure to install the latest version of both AS16 (6036) and ASCA (HF2)?

I was having this issue as well.  I even went so far as to uninstall ASCA...and the colors still popped in!!  Ended up uninstalling AS16 and reinstalling them both again.  Hifi released 2 hotifixes...the second one fixes this issue.  I am not having the issue any longer!

I did install the second hotfix but only after I applied the theme. That might be why it screwed it up. I nuked all my installations and began fresh, with all the appropriate updates. Then re-install Navid's to be absolutely sure. It does seem to be working now -- What a hassle!

Thanks for the help.

Good to hear your problem is sorted

Food for thought, but did you delete the shaders folder for those that have popcorn:)?  I had popcorn and was pretty disappointed, but decided to delete my shaders folder contents and now much better.  Thanks

Just a quick video showing the in cloud effect with AS16/ASCA in P3D.

NOTE: This is my first ever video so please excuse the newbie mistakes. I just flew, saved it and uploaded.

I did notice some stutters in the video that are NOT present in the original.
