November 20, 20169 yr Yeah I saw that - I was in that CJ2 forum a lot. Annoyances that should be easily fixed by the dev! True, but we have a nice two click workaround from Jim while we are waiting. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 20, 20169 yr Do any of you with the FSW Lear have any hi-res screenshots? I can't find any on google image search and most of the videos aren't that easy to really see as a lot of simmers zoom WAAAY out when they fly. Mainly I'd like to see the external and VC closeup with decent lighting. I will say my bias against the FSW is only based on what I've seen from their product shots or a few YT vids. I almost didn't buy the XP Jets LJ25 for that very reason... but then I saw some closeups and noticed the textures were quite good. Anyway, can someone do some nice shots at the SS forum or dropbox me a link etc? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 20, 20169 yr Is this the type of screenshot you are looking for?One from Dan's FSW tutor video and one from a FSW video.I find the FSW panel harder to read... Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 20, 20169 yr Hi Folks, As requested: Hi-Res - untouched - images of the Lear35A Panel - as set on my 1600x1200 4:3 20" Monitor... I fly with .50 Zoom set normally (first two pix) - but Zoom to 1.0 (third pix) with the press of a button when I need to see something... I did download and install a modified panel improvement file available from the Flysimware website... The panel is really not that bad and looks pretty good - I actually like it... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6496395/LJ35Apanel.zip Regards, Scott PS: Thanks Vaughan - yeah used the fix as well - it will get you there but the track on your instruments doesn't display correctly - kind of ruins it for me... Somewhere along the line someone mentioned the Carenado FMC is somehow based on the Default GPS - which strangely enough also can't do a Direct To without erasing your flight plan...

Somewhere along the line someone mentioned the Carenado FMC is somehow based on the Default GPS - which strangely enough also can't do a Direct To without erasing your flight plan... It is a work around .. true, you do not see the DTO route "line" on the PFD but you do see the aircraft (symbol) flying directly to the waypoint on the PFD. Also, using the workaround to do DTO does not destroy the flight plan ... Have you tested it? As you enter the flight plan in the FMS .... Carenado creates a FS flight plan for navigation. If you look in the FS Map view you will see the flight plan legs. If you edit the FMS legs it will then update the Map route also. The Carenado is not a PMDG in depth FMS. It is advertised as LNAV / VNAV / airway basic route with Navigraph updateable Navdata. We work with some "workarounds" on a lot of aircraft / systems. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 20, 20169 yr Hi Vaughan, Yep - concur - it does not destroy the flight plan... Regards,Scott

November 20, 20169 yr Hi Folks, Hah - man - I should get commissions... Yeah - Flysimware really doesn't do themeselves any favors with their marketing efforts... : ) Honestly - like many - I've been around since flight sims inception - I've got a decent amount of experience flying real planes - and - I've bought/flew tons of simulated planes over the years... I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly - - - this one - fortunately - falls into the "GOOD" category... I don't think you will be disappointed... Best of luck guys... Oh - and I checked the MMO on the modeled aircraft - looks like it is set to .78... Also Ryan - running similar equipment to you - I've got the 2700K OC'd at 4.5 Ghz... Regards, Scott
November 20, 20169 yr Hi Scott Just out of interest how do you do this? I fly with .50 Zoom set normally (first two pix) - but Zoom to 1.0 (third pix) with the press of a button when I need to see something... I use Opus but wonder if there is a better way in and out? November 20, 20169 yr Hi Dean, If you have a a programmable joystick - it's easy - just program in (5) "+" or "=" key strokes to respective buttons... Lately - I started using voice control via "Voice Attack" - best $10.00 I've ever spent on FS - so I just mapped it to a verbal command to zoom in and zoom out... Really works well... Regards, Scott
November 20, 20169 yr Hi Dean, I just thought about it some more - actually "Voice Attack" can be utilized even if you have no desire for voice control... You can build simple keystrokes or complex macros - then just assign them to your joystick buttons... It effectively makes ANY joystick a "programmable" joystick... It's a great easy to setup program - that really is needed on planes that require a copilot... Regards, Scott
November 20, 20169 yr Flysimware Lear number one choice. I have the Caranedo Phenom and at night the switch illumination is blurry? Also a bit light on systems. Bert Pieke has done a mod to fit the Flight 1 GTN 750 though. If you have the Flight 1 GTN 750 and the REX Advantage WX weather radar the Flysimware is a beaut! (The WX Advantage should get the upgrade to work with the latest P3dv3.4 next week) http://flysimware.com/website/LEARJET_35A.html The MU2 is a gem, much underrated in my view. Quite a few Lear and MU2 systems work with MCE and you can use Voice Attack as well for anything not covered by MCE. Regards David

I can't find any other download for 35A. Thanks, Dirk. PS: pls disregard, I've found it there FSW_Panel_Update.zip
