November 26, 20169 yr Also - the full real world Flight Manual (AFM) is available there as well (I don't have the link handy)... Scott,I only located one manual (" Note the only difference is that this manual is for an aircraft equipped with the older FC-200 Autopilot.").?Post #10 Here?http://www.avsim.com/topic/481711-lear-35-flight-manual/ Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 26, 20169 yr Hi Ryan, Checked out your mini review. Thanks for that, looks good however I think the 25D looks a lot better. Still swaying that way. Posted in the other thread. November 26, 20169 yr The only downside to the 25 is its a VAS hog If you're not having oom issues don't worry about it! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 27, 20169 yr The only downside to the 25 is its a VAS hog If you're not having oom issues don't worry about it! I liked your review and screenshots of the XP25. I only have the FSW LJ 35A ... good FPS and quality. P3D VAS remaining 2GB (FSUIPC 2002512) with FSW LJ35A .. so all ok with VAS. For the XP LJ25 I did not see a Black Friday sale ...maybe they will have a Xmas sale later. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 27, 20169 yr Because of Scott's shots I decided to buy it the other day Maybe someone will buy it because of mine! $21......For a bargain price you get a simulation of a classic (classy) 1970's bizzjet. http://www.fspilotshop.com/flysimware-learjet-35a-for-fsx-p3d-p-5901.html?osCsid=ilv48046ivjidk9mjnkbrrub17 There is real skill to follow crossing restrictions when all you have are the Bird, the Ball and the needles! No "dial a speed here"!:-) Superb! Cheers David
November 27, 20169 yr There is real skill to follow crossing restrictions when all you have are the Bird, the Ball and the needles! No "dial a speed here" I heard every word of that! No "Pause at TOD" while taking a nap with the FSW35A .. you actually (enjoyably) have to fly it all the way ... pay attention to the gauges and tweek the power a'lot. It is a great ride! Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 27, 20169 yr you actually (enjoyably) have to fly it all the way ... Any simulation that takes thought and skill to fly properly is great. For $21 (sale) everyone should have one of these! I can see why a First Officer was required in these aircraft! Hope they sell by the bushel. Cheers David
November 28, 20169 yr Do you guys have any issue upon rollout? I have a steering issue only after I'm rolling out. Turning is extremely difficult. Is there something I missed in the manual? It *almost* feels like the YD is stuck on because I have a similar issue with Carenado planes if you don't disable YD before landing. I did get the AP issue figured out. I'm really enjoying the aircraft, it's super speedy and hand flies well. I enjoy working the power levers during all phases of flight. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 28, 20169 yr Hi Ryan, There is a push button on the center console to engage the steering - green light on indicator panel comes on - need to be slower than 45 mph to engage. - you can assign a button to it via the "Tailhook" command or via Al's LUA script... I think the CJ might have similar ? Yep - Yaw Damper should be disengaged before landing - I've seen guys do it on real planes on very short final sometimes... Regards, Scott
November 28, 20169 yr I was holding out for it to go on sale at PC Aviator (which it did today) because I had a $5 off coupon which could be applied to any purchase. An unexpected bonus was an additional 10% Cyber Monday discount. All in, it was $13.88 USD Yowza! http://www.pcaviator.com/store/product.php?productid=20659&cat=0&page=1 [email protected] - ROG Strix Z790-E - 2X16Gb G.Skill Trident DDR5 6400 CL32 - MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X - WD SN850X 2 TB M.2 - XPG S70 Blade 2 TB M.2 - MSI A1000G PCIE5 1000 W 80+ Gold PSU - Liam Li 011 Dynamic Razer case - 58" Panasonic TC-58AX800U 4K - Pico 4 VR HMD - WinWing HOTAS Orion2 MAX - ProFlight Pedals - TrackIR 5 - W11 Pro (Passmark:12574, CPU:63110-Single:4785, GPU:50688)
November 29, 20169 yr Hi, WOW - that is cheap - this is easily a $40.00 plane - I like it far better than any Carenado products - my CJ2 525A has been officially sent to the bone yard... Enjoy... Eaglesoft CJ1+ One contender I'd truly like to see - I wish Eaglesoft would blow the cobwebs off that little CJ1+ they have - it seemed like a great little plane and I'd love to see it in P3D... I like it far better than the Citation X - although strictly based on the volume of posts it probably didn't sell as well as the X... I tried to get it work in P3D (unsupported sim) but I was unable - there was a constant stutter on my machine - might have been a Win10 (unsupported OS) thing too as I tried it in FSX Steam (unsupported sim) and it still had issues (Win10 knocked my Coolsky MD80 permanently off line)... Regards, Scott
November 29, 20169 yr Yep! Certainly no regrets at that price. It's proving to be a blast to fly. Not sure why, but it's addictive. Liking the sounds, exterior and feel. VC modeling falls short. Oddly, more attention to fit and finish has been applied to the passenger cabin than the cockpit. Also very pleased to find the MilViz weather radar in place and functioning without in the VC without effort!A few specific items: Autopilot VS behavior is odd (as others have noted) and I wonder if it really works that way... but I've been able to manage it. I have a windshield heater light that seems to be wired in backwards (light is on when heat switch is in the off position). Fuel consumption seems a bit high... falling well short of the range a cruise speed/although. Runway illumination is a small issue - while their custom approach to landing lights (a la LotusSim L-39) is a good effort, it quits lighting the runway at any altitude. I'd wish they'd have just gone with the standard landing light fx.FPS performance is good and with the dimmer VAS workaround in my back pocket, memory is okay too. All and all, a good purchase. November 29, 20169 yr Hi... You need to ping Al (ark) in the Flysimware Forum here on AvSim with your email address - he made a fix for the indicator light (replaces the "mdl" file) - also all the LUA scripts to button control the autopilot... Also need the panel texture upgrade off the Flysimware website... I've seen the fuel consumption is too high comment before - do you have any real numbers for comparison that you can post ? Current Model Vs Real World... Regards, Scott
November 29, 20169 yr Yeah for $13.88 you convinced me to purchase. Although deep down I still would like a high end Gulfstream or the like bizjet. But yes i know about the Gulfstream flight sim relationship. damn! Jason Weaver - WestWind Airlines; FlyUK Airlines; VirtualUnited.org
