Which one then: Flysimware or Xtreme Prototypes? Both fly great, both integrate F1 GTN750 with 3D buttons and rotary (do they not?), but XP is better gfx-wise, right?

Thanks,

Dirk

Hi Dirk,

I don't have the Xtreme Prototypes for comparison... I do recall seeing a video or review of someone that did and I think his conclusion was that Flysimware was better for systems modeling - Xtreme was better at graphic appeal and a bit heavier on the frame rates...

That said - Flysimware - is truly turning into a favorite - I can't even fly my Carenado 525A anymore and I like straight wing Citations... The 35A - as one would expect - has a better autopilot than the 25D with more features... Just ignore that very colorful paint that Flysimware always seem to use - it doesn't do their plane justice - and - stopped me from purchasing it for a long time... Definitely not my favorite paint - they have a bunch of more respectable biz jet paints that I prefer (like the one in the attached video) - but - beauty is in the eye of the beholder... They seem to have good sales and they seem to have them often... Best of luck...

*** Note - if anyone uses the Flysimware model - be sure to get the excellent LUA scripts from Al in the Flysimware forum here at AvSim - they give you a full joystick mapping capability on the autopilot buttons and other essential controls - very much needed on a plane that leaps off the runway at 4000 plus feet per minute and is certified for two pilot operation...

Here is the video that sold me on Flysimware:

Yeah there was a F1 version somewhere in the works. Wonder if they dropped it because of these two.

I'm excited for that mystery Lear 60 if it ever sees the light of day...

All I fly these days is the Xtreme Lear.

A great aircraft.

Cheers,

Mark

Could the mystery Lear be the Flight1 bird?

If you mean the Lear 60XR? I'm not sure - I thought it was quality wings

Also a big fan of the Flysimware Learjet...

I just can't get over the textures - they're better than their older products but just feels like I'm flying an FS9 model

One reason why I fly the Xtreme Lear is just what you said.

Neither can I watching the videos.

Dirk.

I watched the well done videos that Scott posted.
Both  Flysimware and Xtreme Prototypes did great work on their Learjets.

Does FlightSimWare's LJ35A only have just the one cockpit / panel color / texture for all of its paints?

I see a WX radar panel in the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25 VC but in the FAQ they say it's just a dummy. Is there a VC 3D panel integration with the MilViz/REX WX Advantage radar by any chance? (One reason I'm leaning toward the Flysimware 35A)
