December 18, 20169 yr Noticing a lot more sky banding from original version and see it in your shots and some weird faint vertical lines - more work to be done - they will sort it out eventually - fps are a bit lower than before Agreed i think fps are bit lower in this build and i told the developer, but i moved the following files from V1.0 to V1.04 (clouds.bmp + cloud_rf + clouds_sh found in xEnviro--> Art) and (shader_clouds_fragment.glsl and shader_cloud_vertex.glsl found in xEnviro-->shaders) and im still testing but probably gained few fps back retaining other changes in v1.04). Rich did cloud scapes looked like this in V1? X-Plane11 GTX1070 8GB Vram - i7 4770K cpu @3.5GHz Quad core - 16GB RAM

Hi Tofi always playing arent you good going - no that still looks like 1.04 - still looks good but different lot more cover but less defined (real look) hard to explain - may have to experiment back and forth with each version - good idea  One thing I would admit is v1.0 felt more repetitive - 1.04 doesnt but has lost that realism look somehow - just a thought maybe I am just crazy They did sort out the cloud smoothing over the mountains and such in this version so thats good - def an issue in last version Rich Sennett

December 18, 20169 yr its still in beta! p3d is in v3.4!! remeber how bad p3d v1 was?? My struggle is, as much as I want to go XP10/11, why settle for X-Plane's poor skies (where we actually spend our sim time) but yes they have better default terrain at 20-30 fps when I can enjoy AS2016/ASCA skies at 50+ fps in a PMDG plane. over ORBX stuff. I want to want it, I do, and I own them all, but damn. 7900x3d , 64gb 6200mhz 30CL Ram, RTX 3080
December 18, 20169 yr its still in beta! p3d is in v3.4!! remeber how bad p3d v1 was?? Nothing against X-Plane, but simply not fair. You cannot compare XP11 to P3d V1 but rather to P3D v3 because v1 was their first attempt, XP11 is not their first attempt. Alison Santos
December 18, 20169 yr Just installed and tested the update. On XP10.51 it looks beautiful and FPS seems the same. See a couple of pictures here (link to OneDrive): https://1drv.ms/i/s!Am4CDwbz-dfc5wcfh3wEhlyf4t4q https://1drv.ms/i/s!Am4CDwbz-dfc5wWbQ1S_OUJwaHJV Best regards, Mikkel
December 18, 20169 yr its still in beta! p3d is in v3.4!! remeber how bad p3d v1 was?? Lol, this argument cracks me up. Xplane has been in development for over 20 years. It's arguably been in "beta" the entire time. XP11 is just the next installment to charge for a new version, which is understandable as it is a business, but don't pretend it was starting from scratch. What we have now could have been XP10.75. Now, back on topic, with SMPv4 looking disappointing, I'll keep a closer eye on Xenviro. Allen, flight sim lover and AA-5 Traveler owner
December 18, 20169 yr It's very nice, and certainly superior than anything I've seenso far for X-plane 10 and 11. Thx for sharing! December 18, 20169 yr Absolutely loving xEnviro. Taken at FL370 over the ocean with only a 120nm draw distance.
December 18, 20169 yr nobody said that but p3d has been in development for the past 15 years since its esp underneath from the mid 90s! im just saying its still in beta, not optimized, lets hold judgement till the RC comes out. I think its pretty good now. BTW i just come over from p3d so not a ###### at all , just feel its a more mature sim and works for my needs better than p3d does any more. thanks Lol, this argument cracks me up. December 18, 20169 yr Whats cracks me up about P3D is how the scenery is blurry, and then it comes into focus as you fly and then the micro stutters. Yeah. That is the main reason, maybe the only reason, why I just can't go back to P3D right now.
December 18, 20169 yr Have read a few comments how XEnviro is a definite winner for Jetliners but SMP4 may be better for GA VFR. Can any users with both products indicate which is the more immersive product below 20K feet? Thanks.
