Atlas Air 747 passenger version paint request

Recommended Posts

That's all. A very scarce livery to find apparently. They do lots of military charters with these and I would like to support our troops! Thanks in advance.

There is some Atlas Air PAX version on AVSIM already

Hey Amadeo,

I believe that one is the gold version...I think these guys are looking for the standard blue version which Atlas uses on their military charter flights.

I know of a few painters that are planning the blue version so hang in there guys.

That is the Sonair bird that Atlas flys.  Its for oil workers in Luanda.  We call it the Houston Express.

I've flown those Camber flights numerous times.  I hope you had a pleasant flight home. Welcome back stateside!

We call it the Houston Express.

I discovered this during beta testing and looking at flightaware for real routes.  At the time, it was making the trip to Angola Mon & Wed I believe.  I flew the trip East bound once, it is a long one.  You can use Google Earth to find the Atlas birds at KIAH and FNLU to get and idea of where to park.  As I recall, I had to modify the AFCAD for default FNLU to make room for the Queen, but that is a 5 min task with ADE.

I have her mapped over to the pax version, but can't really finish her until I get back from vacation.

Just know you guys will be flying her when she's done.

Wonderful!!!!

Guess the registration is wrong..should be 464 or 465, 475 is a-400F :)

Guess you will change that before she is ready at the paintshop ;)

I thought you were going to wait til you got back? Haha

Hehe...I actually did that on the 2.5 hour flight to my destination last night.  Here now....Sweetie's getting ready for the big night (Dinner and tickets to the number 1 show in this town)...Will take her longer to get ready than it took to fly here....soooo....typing this as I watch her getting ready...you think planning for a 14 hour trans-pac flight takes some effort... :shok:

Of course it'll take me 10 mins to get ready....such is the diversity between the genders...but oh my is it the effort worth it!!!

May be off comms for the next few days...we'll see.

I'm lost..., I was expecting a pax Atlas by Steve in the avsim library and posts indicate that there is a new one.  Where is that to be found? Thanks.

Hey Chuck,

I've been adding some wear on her to try and give you guys some variety. Since N465MC is out and painted to look off the showroom floor, I wanted to paint 464 which I envision as being in service for a bit and working hard for our troops.

I'm working on the L1 door as you can see and I still need to adjust some of the rivet wear to match the 747 as I borrowed this wear layer from my Atlas 777F.

This process understandably takes a bit of time but I think you'll be pleased with the results.

I'm also getting ready to release this one if you haven't seen my other posts here (She was always going to be 1st out of the shop as Lutfy is my favorite airline...I think, hehe)

As you can see, I'm adding some in-service dirt and grime for her as well.

You and a few other simmers will get preview copies of both of these before they are available in the library....working hard to get them to you as soon as I can.
