Stefan,

You live near MUC? I was just there last month. Miss it already!

Right, I live exactly where planes intercept the localizer for Runway 26R, so I can spot planes from my balcony, which lies in the direction of the airport, almost every day.

:-)

The next PMDG product will be "Passenger Cabin Simulator".  Here you can sit in any sit and watch the beautiful wing views while the AI flies the aircraft between two specific points you specify.  There will even be a button to make the wings flex on command if you are really dying for wing flex.

Expansions will include "Ground Crew Simulator" where you can drive loaders up to the aircraft.  With VR or Track IR you can even be in the belly of the beast and load passenger bags.  Jump out afterwards and drive the pushback tug.  Use the key command to salute the Captain and stand back or run down the taxiway to watch the aircraft depart.

Bonus product will be "Stowaway Simulator" for those landing gear view people.  Be a stowaway and watch the landing gear come up and go down from within the wheelwell or just hang from a rope to watch it from the underbelly.

Don't forget Flight Attendant simulator, where you get to help people to their seats, serve passengers their food/drink, gossip with other flight attendants, find polite way to tell a-hole passengers where to stick it, telling the 'mile high' couple to get out of the lavatory, pander to the Captain's ego, be oogled at by businessmen (or soccer moms, hey, which ever way you swing is cool...we are all about making people happy  :db:  ), keep passenger's calm during emergencies such as when the coffee runs out.

Could be fun eh?

Would be phenomenal if they surprised the sim community with almost all of those products released. Basically, saying all those products were worked on but hid those projects. :D

Actually, they could do a Basler BT-67 -

Please no.  That must be worst looking butchery of a classic aircraft ever.  Sometimes, there is grace about looking older and being slower.

An image posted earlier the day at aerosoft forum revealed the existence of the p3d v4.
I noticed that nobody mentioded the left side image. It is an ND with the weather radar on but....it got my attention because i've never seen this addon before in the fsx.Although It looks like a 757 or 767 nd to me so i searched and it seems the same...but something is wrong here. The weather radar at the 767 or the 757 looks a bit different...but the implementation of the weather radar in the image looks like something familiar to me....
The real weather radar on the 767 with the tilt and gain is shown on ther right side corner, the wind on the left down side corner..

the real 767

Judging by the support forums, what I think PMDG will do next, is staple a copy of the manual for their 747 to the heads of everyone who bought it, in the hope that they might read it.

LOL

That would probably cut the support tickets in half!

On a serious note... I must admit, that after reading QW Quarterly update, I kinda hope PMDG starts on a Boeing 787... Given that it's FSX first, P3D second - when bugs are ironed out, which probably means another year. With the speed QW is progressing, PMDG would probably finish a Boeing 787, before QW releases theirs...

*sigh* - was kinda looking forward to it...

Best regards,

Lol, if the entire manual is too much, at least staple the Tutorial section to their foreheads.  When I first got the NGX, I had no clue, after doing the tutorials, I had slightly more of a clue, but after 50+hrs on it, am still learning.

A couple of things worth noting, are that since we pretty much know they're going to be doing a 747-800, that will mean they've got to simulate the General Electric GEnx engine, and whilst I know it differs a little bit between when it is fitted to the 787, essentially much of the core work of simulating that engine would lay a good deal of the groundwork for having a suitably similar enough engine simulation for a stab at doing a 787. Not only that, the avionics of the 800 (which were orignally supposed to be pretty much identical to those of the 787 when the 800 design was first proposed), will require them to suss out some quite fancy programming for their stab at the 800 even though they are no longer identical to what was originally going to be a bit 'Airbus' in having a broadly similar cockpit for both the 787 and the 747-800, so again, that will lay a lot of the groundwork for having a stab at doing a 787.

Then again, you never know, they might surprise us and do a Sukhoi Superjet or a Bombardier CS 300. Nobody's had a good go at either of those yet for a flight sim, and they're both proving pretty popular with regionals around the world.

Port the NGX or the 777 to Aerofly FS 2, or X-Plane 11...
