May 30, 20179 yr Perhaps jumping the gun a little here but following a wipe of P3D v3.4 and an install of v4, the QOTS2 package fails at initial installation with "Installation cannot continue. Your registry does not show a valid Prepar3d(tm) v3.x installation location". Admitedlly my installer is a little old (release date of QOTS2).. Is ther an updated version available?
May 30, 20179 yr They don't support V4 just yet I guess. Maybe it will be supported very soon. Kind regards Mattias Mattias Nordgren PRO-ATCX BETA TEAM
May 30, 20179 yr I don't think PMDG has released yet the new installer of the B747-400 QOTS for P3Dv4. The installer you're using is for P3Dv3.4 and will not work with the new v4. May 31, 20179 yr Commercial Member As we've been saying for about a week now: you'll need a new installer, and we'll let you know when it's ready. The information about availability even has two forum posts dedicated to it. Here's the latest: Kyle Rodgers

Is that available? No. Our store site also lists the DC-6, and the 748. Are those available? No. Preparations != availability. 9 hours ago, Flyboy said: Not quite clear..... as PMDG said the 747 would be available for V4 the day after P3D V4 Release... It isn't? I think it really is. I'm curious to see where we ever said it would be available the day after the P3Dv4 release. Would you mind backing your claim up, please? Kyle Rodgers

Chill Kyle :D We just love the PMDG products ^^ Take it as a compliment.. The preparations are really a little confusing. I fell on its line too ^^ ,

DC-6, not 744; and In the context of the DC-6, which release date might we be speaking to: P3Dv4, or the DC-6? 2 minutes ago, Ephedrin said: Chill Kyle :D We just love the PMDG products ^^ Take it as a compliment.. I fell on its line too ^^ Apologies, but it's frustrating to have released at least a couple of rather clear updates about our estimated timeline, only to have to go back and clarify what's already been put out there. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I'm baffled by how people are getting the impressions they're getting. It's awesome that people are excited and clearly want the plane in v4, but I think people are letting their wants cloud their judgment of the statements. When things are ready, and/or released, we make clear statements to that effect, usually specifically with a thread with "Released" in the title. Kyle Rodgers

June 2, 20179 yr Sigh... I just want something to fly in P3Dv4... I actually just flew from the default NZMF to default NZQN in the DEFAULT King Air. With DEFAULT scenery. If anything, it really has made me so much more appreciative of PMDG, ORBX, REX, HIFI, and all the other devs who make our sim what it should be.. Wes Meyer
