Hi everyone

Ok  ... so if I am not using either Vatsim or Ivao what other programs do I actually need to download and install to take advantage of the free BVAI AI package in Prepar3D v4.2?

Thank you

Paul

If you are using MT6 I can help you.

Hello Roland

I have nothing so just wondered what I need to get this working in P3D

Well, you need at least one AI package wich contains commercial traffic flight plans, like UT2, UT2 Live or MyTraffic. After that you have to modify the traffic settings to use BVAI liveries instead of original ones.

Also you can use the great freeware Lorby-Si Live Traffic, it has already a support to use BVAI in its own database to inject real life ADSB traffic.

Or Kiek's PSXSeecontraffic which - like Lorby-Si's Live Traffic - provides real live traffic. UTLive, on the other, is not actually "live" (in the sense displaying traffic as it happens right now).

I go with PSXSeecontrffic and use BVAI + the UTLive planes (you can combine several packages) at present.

Kind regards, Michael

Hi Michael

I did look at PSX but it looks a tad more complicated than Lorby-Si which (I think) is all I need apart from BVAI  ....

With PSX it was talking about using it in conjuction with VMR Generator and a payware product call 'RealTraffic'  .. I could be wrong though

Paul

VMR Generator is free, but I agree setting things up is a bit more complicated for PSXSeecontraffic. I strictly kept to the manual though, and installation worked out of the box.

"Real Traffic" is subscription based (and isn't what I would call cheap). Lorby Si has two modes one being based on a freeware service and one based on "Real Traffic" as well. I observed it works much better with the latter (which I am subscribed to anyway).

But you can of course try the freeware server, maybe I just choose the "wrong" aiports/times. Plus, Real Traffic provides canned traffic (besides the real one) 24 hrs back. This way I can populate my German airports when I fly on the PC usually at night after work, where they are essentially empty in real time. I much acknowledge this feature.

Kind regards, Michael

There are a bunch of models in the BVAI pack that aren't converted for P3d V4. The CRJ200, E135-145, DC10, C510, C17, C5 for instance.

Hi Dave.

Can I confirm it's just these? Any more that arent coverted??

I'm pretty sure I found 25 or more MDL8-models. As soon as I have the opportunity, I'll post a list.

Best regards, Dimitrios

Since this is freeware I hope the link is allowed?  http://bvai.bvartcc.com/
I guess I'm late to the party...

Got this last night and spend quite a bit of time re-assigning some of the missing models in the UT Live. While I appreciate all the work that went into this, I don't understand why would they put in P3Dv4 incompatible models into this package, like AI Malcontent's ERJ?
