Hope it will be killed again as other so-called freeware AI-packages where permission of authors haven't been provided.

Fire, aim, ready. Well done. Read before posting.

I wonder if they are doing any nav light work with the models so they have beacons, strobes, etc... or does that come already from the freeware authors and whether they have them or not?

That's the question which occured to me quickly, too. In any case we should be able to use them with PSXSeecontraffic/Live Traffic which allows arbitrary external AI packages to be included, as far as I understand.

That's correct, Michael.

You can either put ai-liveries in one folder or use for each brand (VATSIM, MT6, UTL, FAIB, FSPXAI or what have you ...) a seperate folder and prioritize these in VMRGenerator.

From my knowledge a lot of AI Airplanes can have the effects attached inside the model (.mdl) with their own effects names, attachment point locations, etc. so I imagine any lights would be left as the original developers intended to be.

If I get hold of the beta I will make sure the aircraft.cfg files have the appropriate entries to be read by @kiek 's vmrgenerator program (parking / airline code/ atc code) however they might have this already set up.

I have the beta, I can't talk much about it but a better approach would be to get BVAI to set these codes as this way their control panel can operate as intended and continue updating the package models automatically when BVAI release changes.

If you don't do this your changes will get overriding every time they launch an update.

I will mention this to BVAI the next time I talk to them.

It's been released! http://bvai.bvartcc.com/

This looks interesting.

Can this be used as a standalone app or integrated into UTLive?

Thanks,

Mark

I see that it's not recognizing Lufthansa livery for B777-200.

I have some aircrafts with DLHxxx callsigns in Air Traffic and it shows as all white.

Other fleets looks to be ok e.g. BAW, Enter, Easy, KLM, SAS, United, Delta, Alaska...

It also doesn't recognize AAxx...

Is the reason that for instance Lufthansa doesn't have B777-200 in their fleet in real?

Correct. It is made up of real world airline fleets. Not fantasyland fleets.

I couldn’t find an aircraft model list on their website.  Can anyone tell me if this includes models that aren’t already available for p3dv4, ie CRJ2, E145, E140, E135, DC-10?

thanks

I doubt it as it's a compilation of existing freeware models properly curated for AI use. There's a list of model contributors on the website

Hi guys

Can this be used as a stand alone freeware AI package or do you need Vatsim to use it? I have installed it but I do not get GA aircraft at the smaller airports. How do you tell if the sim is recognizing BVAI or the sim's own AI?

Thanks for any answers.

John
