Michael,

Incredibly great shots mate. I wonder if it will ever be possible, in my lifetime, to get graphics (distance and close up) like this using VR?

Can I ask if you are Venezualan, have a older brother (Henry) and ever live on Magnetic Island?

Cheers

Thanks a lot for the kind words! I only gave XP11.20vr2 a short try, using my iPhone, a VR headset and VRSteam. Didn’t work too well, but I’ll have an eye on the further development of XP‘s VR compability, as I’m pretty sure, that VR is THE next „big thing“ for us flight simmers! :-)

No, brother, I’m German, but I’d love to visit Venezuela one day. ;-)

Thx a lot! :-)

Michael,

Thanks for your VR comments  mate. I agree totally with you that VR is the next big think and I am very cautiously going to enter this particular market.

Most comments I hear(read) are that whilst resolutions leave a lot to be desired, the feeling of immersion outweighs all of the "cons" I can't wait to get into it but I am waiting for some hands on comments with the upcoming Pimax 8k. At the moment it looks like a "toss up" with the Pimax and the Oddyssy. Magic Leap might also bear watching.

I have some very old memories (I cannot believe I can go back that far LOL) of growing up on Magnetic Island (North Queensland, Australia) and the previously mentioned Schmitt boys were a big part of that. I guess that was a big leap in the wrong direction but I was hoping.

Cheers and I enjoyed your eclipse post too

Anytime, Tony! You never know, so the only fault would have been, not to ask, right? ;-)

VR is a truly exciting topic. And I’m totally with you, the immersion factor is unbelievable! In 2 or three years, we’ll be a huge step further in the right direction, with higher resolution for affordable prices!

Thanks again for your kind words, and always three greens!

You've really got an eye for it. Great details. DC-3 wing shot is my favorite!

Big thanks for commenting! Yeah, the Aeroworx DC-3 is a lot of fun! :-)

Great shots once again. Have been concentrating on P3D lately.  This makes me want to go back to X-Plane.  Got a day off work, so I know what I'll be doing!

I think that means he’s no longer a member here. Must have asked to have his account turned off for some reason. I just noticed this the other day as well.

.... i am somewhat curious too because IMHO, Mik75's contributions here in the forums were always very much appreciated and his screenshots were always of highest quality.

Enjoy flying and happy landings.
