January 5, 20197 yr I've been simming for decades, but haven't used P3D.In FSX I used FSGenesis which was purchased more than a decade ago. What is the recommendation for terrain mesh for P3D?
January 5, 20197 yr I use FreeMeshX so far. I also have Pilots FS Global Ultimate NG but I found it not worth the extra cost and extra loading time over FreeMeshX. I was also having problems with elevation on some third party airports (specifically from orbx) that their AFM tool cannot fix. PC- AMD Ryzen 7800X3D, 64gb 6400mhz RAM, Nvidia RTX4090

January 5, 20197 yr Moderator I use Toposim exclusively - well worth it and he always tries to have some sort of sale for his customers. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
January 5, 20197 yr Author Is the Toposim mesh the same as the FSG mesh or has it been redone with new data?

January 5, 20197 yr Completely new and higher resolution (at least in North America). Alaska includes "Ultra Res" and I think a few other areas of the world might have it as well. I got this about 10-12 days ago, and I got a 30% discount using the free code they provided at the site. I opted for the "whole planet package" which ran me $27 I think, and it covers the entire world, although I don't yet have some regions installed, because it's unlikely i'll fly in them much. Maybe i'll just install them, and then disable them in the scenery library until such time that I want to use them. Edited January 5, 20197 yr by SunDevil56 Scott
January 5, 20197 yr Tried 'em all and keep going back to Toposim. Big plus is that Justin is easy to reach via the forum.
