The installation size  for GB South defintely seems larger. Not that I care..I just hope the addon runs better now. Lol

Before, I think the total size was 54gb (or thereabouts?). Now its 70gb+ and another 4 or 5gb for the new libraries.

It's just an anomaly, the installed size is in fact 46GB and that is all that will be installed.

The other parts are 22GB and 26GB plus a common library of 12GB.

Tried to DL it manually 3 times but at 79% it slows down to 1% per 15-20 minutes....

This gives me an even bigger incentive to get my new PC build up and running as soon as possible. It makes sense to wait until I have ORBx Central installed on the new PC before I download TrueEarth GB in all its glory. The discounted price is available until January 31, so I do not need to worry.

Gerald,

I have some good news for you. I've done enough testing with ORBX Central to finally say that you can update without the fear of ruining your scenery order. If you want I can send you a PM.

BTW, has ORBX updated Netherlands? Now that I have all the SSD space I need, I am interested in finally in buying it.

MSFS

For those interested in the time it takes to download TEB South & space requirements, it took me 4 hours to download, backup, and to clean up. The server download went from as low as 2 to 10. Not that bad.

It's a 76GB download, installed 12GB library on Library SSD, and 46GB inside P3D v4 ORBX folder, and backed up 48GB + 3GB Library on my backup drive.

You have the choice to install it anywhere.

MSFS

First impressions, for me it's an improvement on what we had before. Some POI models appear to have been changed (more night lighting, but not all POIs) and most importantly GB is now fully covered.

To get a comfortable PMDG 737NGX approach into AS EGLL or Orbx EGLC, I still need to dial down the autogen draw distance to medium, choose weather with very few clouds (or none) and reduce the number of AI.
FPS on approach to EGLL 27L dropped no lower than 21, generally held at 24 / 25.

Away from London, it performs adequately over larger cities, like Manchester and Leeds, very well over towns.

I've highlighted to Orbx some errors where 3DM buildings clash with POI models and there are some placement issues.

Despite these problems though, this is the first time I genuinely feel that I'm flying over the UK in a Microsoft ESP sim and not having to use my imagination to fill in the gaps.

Overall, better than it was.

TE NL had its update back in March
https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/551127-te-netherlands-updated/

I still find it is less demanding on my PC's resources than TE GB.

I can't believe that UK2K EGLC & EGLL work and perform well.

More info please.

Perform "well" with what? a GA or a NGu/FSL and what is "Well" is that not "good" but "well"?

I would love since I am from the Uk to have the full on TE version but if it does not perform at the same level as OLC then its not "well" or "any good".

Just would like more info please, thank you.

I have Central installed and all my SODE entries were gone, exept for LDDU. Luckily I found a backup.

Regarding scenery order my AO backup worked flawlesly as Central made a mess out of it.

And I do not have any POI's in Great Britain. Already I made a Topic and am waiting for a solution...

I do all my testing with the FSLabs A319/A320. I saw a great improvement vs v1.1
