I would love since I am from the Uk to have the full on TE version but if it does not perform at the same level as OLC then its not "well" or "any good". Just would like more info please, thank you. It means in the 20s in London with the A2A 172. I did not buy TEGB to fly in an airliner. That completely defeats the purpose of these sceneries. My settings are pretty high, but AI & car traffic are as low as I can go. I'm still on a i7 2600K & a gtx1070 and getting reasonable fps. I did see a video by Rob were he maintained 30 from EGLL to EGLC in an airliner, but his systems are usually next gen. YMWV MSFS

While you may not want to do that, many do, and will. When I'm flying into London in a 747, I want to be able to look out the side and see what I'd see in reality - THAT is the purpose of this scenery. Keep the blue part on top... Orbx has always said that TrueEarth is for VFR flights. However, you, me and thousands of others have always pushed P3D and TE beyond what it was originally designed for. As I said in my earlier post this afternoon, you can expect a tolerable payware airliner experience with some of the more intensive CPU settings turned right down (unless you have a CPU O/C'd to 5.0+ GHz of course). VFR in my A2A PA-28 doesn't ever drop below 27 FPS. I'm locked at 30. I forsee lots of Dash 8 flights into LCY whenever I want a airliner flight over Central London. Me to and into EGNX EGGP etc etc. Flying into airport with TE would be amazing GA might be nice to look at POI, tree's, lakes etc but to say it defeats the purpose is short sighted. It might bring out the best if you fly a GA for the most detail, but i would be happy to turn details down to have 70% of TE working well. If anyone could post reports with FSL/NGu and PC specs to give a good idea of performance that would be very helpful. David Murden. If your computer can handle it, then by all means then enjoy the scenery. But, most simmers will end their flights with no AG and an unhappy, frustrated feeling because they either don't have the hardware or don't set up their systems right. Even JV admitted years ago that these regions were designed for low and slow simmers not for the airline type. MSFS

I don't think i will take your advice on that one thank you for the thought all the same. PMDG NGu to NG MAX is coming and I will buy a new PC for MSFS. I stopped VFR flying years ago, I found it to be like watching paint dry. So I could not go back to walking around at 120Kts even to see TE in its full glory. I don't see why MSFS cannot give good FPS I can fly around KLAS in DCS in a F-18 at full speed with 70FPS all in a detail P3D can only dream off. P3D is still a very old engine. DCS runs wonderfully well even on a 5 year old PC, MSFS will be a new coming and a sim we can only dream of. But some people will always say in the past. Like people still using FSX.. David Murden. December 21, 20196 yr For the record (as most of you already know), I fly "low and slow" in study level airliners, so the amount of detail included in the ORBx TrueEarth series is very important to me. I will be very interested to see just how well it will perform in the London area on my new PC, but make no mistake about it......I will be flying the PMDG airliners with TrueEarth enabled.
