July 26, 20196 yr PrealSoft Releases Casablanca for P3D and FSX I am a bit stumped on that one. Casablanca means "white house". The city is white! What do developers call "custom autogen"? There are NO brown roofs in Casablanca and there are no roofs with tiles at all but white flat "terrasses". Unfortunately, this scene looks a European one and adding few emblematic buildings on the sea shore doesn't make it more real. - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.

Unfortunately, this scene looks a European one and adding few emblematic buildings on the sea shore doesn't make it more real. Looking at the city on Google Maps satellite view, there *a lot* of roofs that are brown/red. Not tiled and sloped, I'll admit. Though that's the compromise for a low- to mid-tier developer that doesn't have a fantastic track record of city scenery. The average photo scenery is more off-putting, tbh. Their GMMN airport (which is currently on sale) does look good however. July 26, 20196 yr To me it looks very nice. It is photo scenery + custom AG. Not the real thing 🤔 For that you need to buy a ticket with an airline, which is a little more expensive than buying the Prealsoft Casablanca 🌍 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
July 26, 20196 yr I already bought it, actually. I really like their GMMN and figured this city scenery will make for a beautiful approach. I installed it but havent tried it yet. Over the weekend I want to do GMMN-LFPO (just got JetstreamDesign's), so we'll see how good the city really looks 🙂 Benjamin van Soldt Windows 10 64bit - i5-8600k @ 4.7GHz - ASRock Fatality K6 Z370 - EVGA GTX1070 SC 8GB VRAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX @ 3200MHz - Samsung 960 Evo SSD M.2 NVMe 500GB - 2x Samsung 860 Evo SSD 1TB (P3Dv4/5 drive) - Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM - Seasonic FocusPlus Gold 750W - Noctua DH-15S - Fractal Design Focus G (White) Case
July 26, 20196 yr I lived in Casablanca for a year, it’s not as white as the name suggests. My building was tan at best as were most of the buildings. (See the film Blackhawk down, while filmed in Rabat, it looks similar to Casablanca) A great year for Morocco, this is is a must buy for me.

Beautiful people too. Here is Casablanca. Not too much roofs. And rather white. 😉 Then you can compare, and better understand my surprise: Edited July 26, 20196 yr by David Roch - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
July 27, 20196 yr Hi, I bought and installed this scenery. Being originally from Morocco and happen to know Casablanca very well, both from above and on the surface, I do share David's disapointment. At least they could have got the twin towers right, they are white whereas in the scenery they appear dark grey. The airport GMMN is very well rendered though. July 27, 20196 yr Author Nice meeting you Fouad :-). Yes, GMMN is a keeper. I assume PrealSoft can easily patch their Casablanca's scenery to better match reality. - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
July 27, 20196 yr I am at the fence with this. Perhaps you insiders can tell Prealsoft what they got wrong...? August 3, 20196 yr Living in Morocco and frequently visiting Casablanca. The scenery, in my view, looks good, it justifies the expense, where I am mainly a vfr flyer. For IFR flyers not to get disappointed, 9 out of 10 times approaches and landings on 35R due to prevailing winds, where most vectors to approach will not lead you over the main city. I disagree about too dark colors (roofs/buildings), just set your brightness a bit higher and the white city opens up. Where I live (Agadir) most of the roofs are brownish/red and not white as one would expect. I am very happy with Casablanca scenery, no need to hesitate. Hans
