I've been checking every day, however just checked again and the PC Avaitor site showing V 4.2e.

Downloaded and installed only to find its still 4.2a , as noted in Add and remove programs,

hmmmm!

Just Flight are still calling the file v4.2e.

It seems to be 4.2f.

Many thanks to the devs for their continued support

You're right, it is still version 4.2a (423.343.392 bytes of August 14, 2019) instead the 4.2e as indicated on the site...

That's not the way FSW does it, but I guess your point is there has been quite a few downloads lately. Realize that some of these are because a new installer has been developed, which is a complex piece of software in itself, and unlike some developers,  Mark is willing to put out updates for relatively small issues (such as the recent Payload Manager issue) and minor improvements.  There is certainly no requirement to download an update if it is not convenient to do so.

I can get the 4.2f from SimMarket this morning but now I've got a " Max Time Limit Reached " error (code 152) trying to install it! Too many versions updates or Windows update 1903 issue? Very frustrating!!!

I've submitted a ticket to the Customer Service and I hope they'll answer quickly.

Skip.

Finally, when you run FSW's new installer it will tell you what version you are about to install.

Thanks ark--that is what I looked at on yesterday's download from PC Aviator--the installer still noted 4.2a.

Thanks for mentioning this. I will go back over to PC Aviator and give it another try.

Okay--downloaded and installed version 4.2f.

I would also like to add to my comments above wrt the number of recent updates. I will agree that things are not always perfect and can be frustrating at times, but it not from a lack of effort, and we are fortunate in that Mark is very customer oriented (as, for example, the frequent updates show). It is worth noting that Mark has never charged his customer's for even major updates.  I would argue that the recent Lear ver4.1 to 4.2 is a fairly significant update that took a lot of effort and time, but despite getting advice to the contrary, he refused to charge existing Lear customers for ver 4.2(). Just my $0.02, and yes I guess I'm biased.

Hi Ray,

Forgot you flew this fine bird - hope all is well...

Hi Al,

Here here - we’ve all seen companies that are in this for the cash grab - it’s obvious Mark cares a great deal for his customers, his products, and a passion for doing things the right way - Flysimware is class act all the way...

Regards,

Scott

Hi Scott,

Thanks. Flew this latest version of the LJ 35A and all went well. Since I am still in 32bit environment, I must be careful of my scenery settings in some locations, as this aircraft has "high octane" textures!!

Ray

FYI, Lear ver 4.2g was released to fix a display problem that was unique to P3D v4.0 - v4.3 users.

Time to test!  😆

Is it safe for me to assume this latest update is only for P3D 4.0 or 4.3? I am using P3D 3.4xx
