You are getting another variant and the models have gone through re-design with PBR, EFB etc... I just spent 100$ on the NGXu w/o an upgrade discount although it's not a revolution when comparing to the older NGX. Paying 30% for the upgrade seems reasonable to me Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs

Since you gave me an example in your line of work, I hope you do not mind if I give you one in my line of work. I paid $100 for VirtualDJ about a decade ago. I received free updates and upgrades and continue to receive them even after a decade. The developer promised free updates and upgrades and then kept their word. The software is now $300 and they are the #1 DJ software in the world. Integrity matters! AS released a broken CRJ add-on, did not offer a refund, said that the CRJ was a work in progress, and that updates would eventually come. The software went on sale multiple times, and now they expect customers like me who paid full price for a broken add-on, to pay up for an upgrade. In sales, that's called the nibble. No thank you! Not a complaint, just an observation. 😀 Edited November 25, 20196 yr by DJJose MSFS

I say good luck with that and buy/don't buy, whatever floats your boat, also the DJ senario doesn't really cut it compared to the nitch that P3D flight simming really is. I read Farm and Truck sim sell way more than the current crop of flight sims. Also software is never finished, if it was we'd all still be using dos or Windows 95 or some other obscure piece of software/OS. My own company's software has evolved over 20 years and sells from $20,000 to $400,000 and even more for a really large sale, however it's built to fill a small segment of the target market hence the high cost which goes back into development, support, wages, Taxes etc. And we typcially release a new version every couple of weeks, chock full of customer requests, enhancements and fixes all paid for from both sales and annual maintenance. November 25, 20196 yr From what I have read the original CRJ is still getting a bunch of fixes which show it’s still being supported for free. It's AS after all. Just a terrible seller! I'm done with them. I'm not going to get into it with you here (which is not my decision, it's my bosses decision and I will respect that), so this is a statement and I won't be providing any further replies on this matter here. But you are most welcome to Private Message me or better yet, come by our forums to discuss - which I think would be the right thing to do. I'm guessing that you may not fully understand what the NEW PRODUCT is all about, and if that's the case then believe me I understand, following flight sim and it's products is a daunting task even for me and I do this full time. One thing you may have missed is that we published many updates for the previous CRJ-700/900X product. Those updates were indeed at no cost to the customer, and that product is fully stable and working very, very well, in fact I was flying that aircraft just last week. What we're talking about is a NEW PRODUCT, which it also provides 2 completely new aircraft (so now it's the CRJ 550, 700, 900 and 1000 models) and many new things. Even though this is a new product, we are providing a substantial discount for those who owned the previous product, just like we did and do for the Airbus. Compare that to other aircraft AND scenery developers! Aerosoft's policy is that we never charge anyone for the same file twice, and if you ask me we go FAR BEYOND this policy when we compute price differences and discounts. For instance, in this case the cost to previous CRJ Product owners is about $23 USD and for what one gets for that, well, I think it's amazing. Our policies not only prove to be the greatest benefit to everyone, but to my knowledge no other developer does this. If the above is not good enough for you, then by all means skip the new CRJ. But I believe our policies are far more than fair, that they are of great financial benefit our customers especially when compared to other aircraft and scenery developers. I wish you the very best! Just a terrible seller! I'm done with them. The original aircraft has been updated several times since release at no additional cost, but this is more than just an “update”. It includes two new aircraft models, the CRJ 550 and 1000, a complete graphics re-work of the flight deck and external models for PBR, an all-new EFB including Navigraph charts integration and more... 25 Euro / 23 dollars for previous owners of the aircraft seems quite fair. November 25, 20196 yr Well, thanks! It's not an 8700k or RTX2080TI. I guess it's impossible to keep up! But it supports a 4k monitor which is fantastic. Cya! Todd McDowell System: Intel i7 8700, ASUS RTX4070, ASUS Z370 TUF Gaming Pro, 48gb Ram, 4k Monitor
November 25, 20196 yr Downloaded, but now I have to go to work! 😞 21Euro upgrade price for me (no VAT, I guess). Can't beat that! The previews look really good. I thought the older version was excellent despite a few problems here and there... Thanks Jim! Very true. By the way, I wasn't clear in my initial response, but there is also another update coming out for the older CRJ-700X/900X product. This is of course a free update for that older product, but seeing the difference between them, I personally wouldn't bother with it and I'd get the new CRJ.
