Aerosoft CRJ-1000 major update announced

The 550 has the same basic airframe and engines as the 700, but a seating capacity of only 50 passengers, and a lower authorized maximum gross weight than the 700.

Yep.  Hence my question, would be neat if the interior model was different to reflect that; or if there any other differences.  Or if it’s simply the CRJ-700 model with “CRJ-550” painted on the side of it.

Do liveries from the old version work with the new version given it now has the PBR treatment?

Fingers crossed.  There were several great ones out there; as well as some of the lesser-mainstream liveries that we’re neat to have.  Would hate to have to ask/wait to have them recreated from scratch.

As far as I know, the interior model would be different, with fewer seats and weights to match.

At this time, United is the only customer who has purchased the 550 - it just received its type certificate a few months ago. It would be a logical upgrade for regional carriers currently operating the CRJ-200, so I’m sure there will be other airlines adopting the 550 as time goes by.

Let's go back to the initial release. I thought updates would be free. I'm not surprised that it will not be a free update. It's AS after all. Just a terrible seller! I'm done with them.

You can't really expect an update that large to be free. I haven't seen any developer offer free updates that involve heavy rework.

Hi Capt., yes, I do believe the new CRJ Pro has the proper interior and blocked windows.

Ya right, where you around for the development of the CRJ? The guy took like 5 years to finish it and it was and still is awful and full of bugs. By the time Hans releases this nobody's going to be using P3D anymore anyway. Good luck to the guy though, he'll need it.

Toxic attitude...

Get used to it! This is turning out to be a very prevalent attitude since MSFS was announced.

I'm not going to get into it with you here (which is not my decision, it's my bosses decision and I will respect that), so this is a statement and I won't be providing any further replies on this matter here. But you are most welcome to Private Message me or better yet, come by our forums to discuss - which I think would be the right thing to do.

I'm guessing that you may not fully understand what the NEW PRODUCT is all about, and if that's the case then believe me I understand, following flight sim and it's products is a daunting task even for me and I do this full time.

One thing you may have missed is that we published many updates for the previous CRJ-700/900X product. Those updates were indeed at no cost to the customer, and that product is fully stable and working very, very well, in fact I was flying that aircraft just last week.

What we're talking about is a NEW PRODUCT, which it also provides 2 completely new aircraft (so now it's the CRJ 550, 700, 900 and 1000 models) and many new things. Even though this is a new product, we are providing a substantial discount for those who owned the previous product, just like we did and do for the Airbus.  Compare that to other aircraft AND scenery developers!

Aerosoft's policy is that we never charge anyone for the same file twice, and if you ask me we go FAR BEYOND this policy when we compute price differences and discounts.  For instance, in this case the cost to previous CRJ Product owners is about $23 USD and for what one gets for that, well, I think it's amazing. Our policies not only prove to be the greatest benefit to everyone, but to my knowledge no other developer does this.

If the above is not good enough for you, then by all means skip the new CRJ.  But I believe our policies are far more than fair, that they are of great financial benefit our customers especially when compared to other aircraft and scenery developers.

I wish you the very best!

Thanks Dave. I appreciate your full explanation.

I bought the previous version through SimMarket, but this latest release, today, I bought through AeroSoft.  At the bottom of your cart page is a Voucher box in which you can enter your key code that you received when you purchased the older version from SimMarket.  The discount (67%) was immediately applied before executing the purchase.

Just saw your youtube video. Thanks.

I'm getting the upgrade, but will wait a day or two, just in case there are any major issues.

Hi guys

How much realistic features have been implemented now -

Do all the buttons/knob/switches work?

And what really does this mean -

Extended Flight Management System delivered

In relationship to the word "Extended" (obviously more features) but what more features from before -

How close is this to the real thing? Does it do failures like PMDG birds or not yet? Just waiting to hear some feedback.  In real life, I enjoy my CRJ flights the best (hence my fav airplane).

Thanks

Can anybody that bought this new version check to see if they have the CTRL-SHIFT- Numbers keys assigned. The reason I ask is because the previous version had them assigned and I could not create views with EZdok using Ctrl-Shift-Num.  to look around the cockpit. Thanks.

I have to say I'm quite tempted by this aircraft. Does anyone know if there are any multi crew features included to help with checklists and procedures?
