I hope that this gives a little bit more insight on what we can expect of the global default scenery. November 15, 20196 yr Great job! I'm very happy with the non-photogrammetry scenery... Looks 100x better than "land-class" seen in P3D. Seems like in FS2020 there will always be something new and interesting to look at out the window, unlike the repetitive (Orbx or default) land-class in P3D. Just incredible. Matthew S

November 16, 20196 yr I wonder if with FS2020, we'll something like a revival of the old, traditional hand-placed objects addon scenery development again. I think it's pretty safe to say that the sim will have the whole "landscape" aspect covered, and there won't be much of a need for external developers to work on that. Large cityscape projects might also be a thing of the past, because photogrammetry as well as the procedural AI generation of scenery will probably be vastly more efficient in filling in any post-launch gaps than anything a small team of developers can do by hand. What seems to be missing though, at least as far as we have seen so far, is the small detailed objects, at least outside of any airports. Things that made bush flying so much fun in the older OrbX sceneries or related projects like Tongass Fjords. This might be a new market for dedicated developers, hand crafting detailed buildings, bridges, vehicles or other objects that can only be placed by hand.
