November 27, 20196 yr You have seen the last email on reddit. They said its very close. Hence one week later still nothing here. So what is the definition of close? I dont mind waiting but the constant teasing makes me frustrated. They should just stop talking about the alpha before its really done and ready. Lukas Dalton
November 27, 20196 yr And they are starting the recruitment of Alpha 2 before releasing Alpha 1 😄 I didn't get selected but I do feel for those who did. The wait must be killing you lot. Baber My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HDOnlive

November 27, 20196 yr Alpha 2 recruitment ends on December 12th so they will be very close to each other. Maybe even a merge? Former MSFS Alpha Tester, current member of the MSFS Stream Team.
November 27, 20196 yr Baber's right though. In a sense, there is no reason to deem it the Build Tech Alpha 1 anymore when it's bleeding into the Alpha 2 time frame. Recruitment suppose to start today, I think. Capt. Robert Rixx
November 27, 20196 yr I guess it may just take quite a while until alpha 2 goes live then. Acceptance into alpha 1 didn't mean getting access right away did it? Why should acceptance into alpha 2 mean access right away then?
November 27, 20196 yr Author I am pretty sure Alpha2 testers will have to wait even longer and will not be thrown into the same pool with Alpha1 users Lukas Dalton
November 27, 20196 yr Yeah, there's no correlation between recruitment and when access is provided. The Alpha 2 testers probably won't get access until January or February. When it arrives, I guess I'll be pleasantly surprised, but meanwhile there are other things to occupy my attention. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... November 27, 20196 yr This is why I’m not that confident the thing will get released in 2020. Just a bit of a pattern of being a bit optimistic with timelines. Not a problem for me though asobosoft, take your time.

Compiling a fully working build this early in production can be a bit of a challenge, making sure all the WIP puzzle pieces fit together. That's not something studio usually do, at least not when it has to be functional enough for public testing, especially not if you're trying to compile it with all the latest data. Same reason why you often see betas based on months and months old code, because that's when resources were pulled, stars aligned and a stable build came together. If they did that, you would be here making a topic about how they don't tell anything and communication is important and blablablabla. It will be out when it's ready, remember to be thankful you have this opportunity and don't take anything for granted beyond the fact you know at some point you will try the Alpha. November 27, 20196 yr it depends on how well the first alpha 1 test starts and if what should be tested in the alpha 1 also works out ok or not. Without bigger problems i think the alpha 2 testers will be let in one by one at a fast pace.
