February 7, 20206 yr Yesterday a beta tester uploaded 3 videos to YouTube (the longest one was 30 minutes) I managed to download a copy of all 3 of them before the videos were marked as private viewing only. The uploader was not very bright as he also had a camera on himself while playing on 2 of the videos and the full watermarks. The videos are marked as private now and not able to view. I'm not going to link the YouTube channel or send anyone a copy of the videos. I'm a bit annoyed because we all wanted to get in and do the right thing and yet some that do get in don't do the right thing. He was also extremely bad at flying. Is there anywhere were we can report video leaks? Edited February 7, 20206 yr by Theboot100
February 7, 20206 yr I'm going to bet Microsoft is already aware of this breach. The poster is more than likely no longer a tester. It is pretty low in my opinion to agree to honor an NDA and then violate for limited personal glory. Thank you. Meaning the YouTuber can only choose who watches it Edited February 7, 20206 yr by Theboot100

I mean you were the one who saw the video. But could he have possibly been making a video to aid in bug reporting? Without trying to disclose anything myself but they are asking for very specific things to be reported and sometimes screenshots aren't good enough. Might be best to just let it go rather than play hero. Let Microsoft deal with it. Brian Thibodeaux | B747-400/8, C-130 Flight Engineer, CFI, Type Rated: BE190, DC-9 (MD-80), B747-400 My Liveries

There was a about 50 minutes of bad beginner flying over 3 videos.
February 7, 20206 yr It's possible he meant to keep them private and forgot to mark them. Unlikely, but possible I guess.

Sorry I should clarify. Having watched them I could say with 99 percent certainty the videos are not trying to showcase any bugs. I also highly doubt Asobo would recommend uploading 50 minutes of flying to YouTube to 'showcase a bug. I would he willing to bet they were uploaded to be marked as private to show his friends, and he forgot to mark them as private. The fact that he has a streaming camera on 2 of them is even more odd.

There is no "meaning to keep them private" without breaking the NDA. You agree up front that Microsoft is the only one who can release info, including videos. In every large enough group of "outside" testers (and this one is getting fairly large), there will be one or two idiots who can't follow the rules. This is one of them. February 7, 20206 yr I could download the video also. Like Theboot100, I will not share them in respect for Asobo's work. The pity is that MS/Asobo gave their trust to people who didn't respect their work probably because they were not so interested in being in the testing team of the new Flight Simulator.
February 7, 20206 yr So you're going to download all the videos for your personal pleasure but then go on to report the person for the leaks you enjoyed? How are you going to download a copy of a leak and then claim the moral high ground and wish to report it?

I was just typing the EXACT response...thank goodness we have these morally superior folks out there to catch those NDA breakers! I won't have to worry about seeing NDA content, because I'm not spending my day on YouTube trying to find them. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
February 7, 20206 yr The video will have his watermark on it so MS knows who it is. He'll be sorely disappointed the next time who goes to load the sim up.

Last I checked they're still on the channel but trying to open the YouTube link leads to a page saying this video is private. Had a feeling they would disappear/turn private quickly. Point was to report the breach with proof but could not find anywhere to report it too.
