NDA leaks reporting

Featured Replies

As it turns out those videos are not difficult to find at all. The cat is definitely out of the bag. No doubt this guy figured that his 10mins of fame was worth more to him than remaining an Alpha tester. I wonder will Asobo/Microsoft have any legal recourse against him? I didn't watch all the footage. I kinda jumped through it. The quality of the video wasn't great (720p). Having said that, I do however feel that these two videos are likely more representative of the reality of the SIM than the MS/Asobo promo material is. Two things. It looked about as much better than FSX as X-Plane 11 now looks better than X-plane 10. I have to say that from what I've seen I would anticipate that the competition between Prepar3D V5, X-Plane 12 and Microsoft Flight Simulator will not be the slam dunk that everyone thinks its going to be. I have to say that I'll eat my hat if MSFS meets the expectation that exist regarding this sim.

Ah the videos I found are reuploads, not the original user.

There's still 2 videos out there not set to private. Dunno if it's the user the first post is referring to. They were uploaded 20 hours ago.

Its out of control now. Many will have downloaded the videos and they'll pop up again and again from non NDA individuals as ultimately the videos are public and going "viral". No doubt there is a legal framework around this, but at this stage its inevtiable based on the nature of the internet.

Of course Microsoft will have anticipated this, no doubt they probably even rehearsed for this exact situation and they are probably not surprised. Its likely worth taking the risk of running an Alpha. In fact some might say an unauthorised leak is additonal PR and could be healthy for business.

Still, 20 hours, you would think Microsoft would have already claimed them or had them removed. I guess they haven't spread far enough yet for them to see them.

Believe me they will have spread far and wide. Certain "bots" are already replicating the videos.

So odd to see a tester test an Alpha so poorly but then I guess testing variety is the name of the game. Just sad to see such poor piloting skills.

No problem here today with Edge. It takes a few seconds and  I am in.

I'm the same as you domkle.

AMD 9800X3D,  NZXT X73 RGB AIO COOLER, Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WIFI7, 64GB 6000MHZ RAM, 4TB Samsung Pro NVME, 4 TB Crucial P3+ NVME, 4TB Crucial SSD, Gigabyte Gaming OC Geforce RTX5090, Antec C8 ARGB Case, X55 JOYSTICK/THROTTLES, LG 4K C4 42" TV/Monitor 120 Hz, 2 Dell 1080 monitors. Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle. Thrustmaster TPR Pedals. Moza AB6 FFB Joystick, Pimax Crystal Light VR, Tobii Eye tracker, Steelseries Arctis 7+ Wireless Headphones.

The more I look at the footage. The more I see a pig with lipstick if you follow my train of thought!  😆

I just saw the 2 two videos..... I can't believe that guy got selected as an alpha tester. I don't care what his PC specs were, that wasn't testing.

If I was MS/Asabo, I'd be kind of embarrassed.

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, MSI VENTUS 3x OC RTX 3070 8 GB, 32 GB DDR4 3600MHz, 1 TB NVMe SSD, 1 TB HDD, Sharp 43" 4KTV

lmao - this forum is really something else sometimes.

To be fair. There is a difference between the alpha leaked videos and alpha photos to what the products it’s itself (Asobo trailers videos etc...).

what alpha testers have is not the same that Asobo has. I’m sure about that.

And this is exactly why they don’t want them getting leaked.  Because people like you will make baseless assumptions based on a 720p video filmed by someone filming his computer screen with a phone...

Hopefully people will go watch the videos, because I have no idea what you are talking about.

I just watched the first leaked one with the TBM flying around in building storms. There's nothing in P3D or XP11 that comes close to the "total package" visuals (scenery, lighting, clouds, etc.) shown there, especially not without hundreds of dollars worth of addons.

The only time I thought "this doesn't look awesome" is when he got to the airport environment, which clearly isn't done yet.
