April 17, 20206 yr is a hand's down WINNER! I am thrilled, man...thrilled. On my 7 year old modest system, I have the sim cranked right out...every feature on...sliders bending the far right...and while I am getting around 22-30 FPS depending on what's happening, it's dead smooth...NO STUTTER and the output man oh man...is just ACE! I'm dumping my v4.5 this afternoon and freeing up the room I do not come close to having a vRAM OOM..for with the sim features BURSTING at the seams...I never go past 4.4 GB out of a total available on my system of 6.7. No matter what...storms...whatever...my vRAM doesn't spike past that! I had one CTD but not because of vRAM exhaustion, but because I was ranking all over the slides, and I guess that v5.0 didn't much like that...having to keep renewing the art assets. Bottom line...GLAD I JUMPED IN! Absolutely! I don't truly have one constructive criticism at this point. The sim runs beautifully...cranked right up...no need for a partial and diminished screen and feature output. Dang...I stamp P3Dv5 a winner and absolutly is NOT or should not be v4.6... Cheers, y'all! Ses

April 17, 20206 yr It is really amazing what they did, so much better and also that we don’t have to spend a fortune again for updating all of the addons.

April 17, 20206 yr Fantastic screenshots ! If you guys find the sun to small : search for the suneffecf.cfg file and change the default moon / sun according to your liking. For my real size home cockpit I use : Moon 1500 ( default 900 ) Sun 6072 ( default 2072 ) 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

Nobody...but NOBODY is pulling this v5, but out of my cold, dead....hands...that's the only way... MSFS20? "Pffffff.....whenever! Who the $&@(@ cares, now...! April 17, 20206 yr I'm very happy for you Mitch, but I'm a bit perplexed. What exactly is so different from this version that has you head over heals? I've seen pics like this before in FSX. MSFS
